Bring On The Cold!

Yesterday I blogged about what I did so today I'm going to blog about what Terese did yesterday! As you may know the weather in Melbourne is getting colder and colder each day as we head towards winter.

My dearest wife Terese was knitting all day yesterday making a scarf for me! She enjoys doing stuff like that and through trial and error she worked out the design of the scarf. Its her first attempt. You need to be very patient doing this, something I don't have.

Tada! What do you think? Not bad huh? Goes with the jacket we bought last week so I'm all set for winter. Bring on the cold!

*My face looked stoned in this picture so I'm not showing it!

Boh Liao Post

So boring lah! Nothing to do and nothing to blog! Si beh bo liao! Wanna know what I've done today so far? Got up at 9, had breakfast then vacuum and mop the floors (yes, cannot afford domestic help here).

Oh and I also changed the water in the fish tank. Plus, I bought some ornaments to go in the boring fish tank; some chinese buildings like pagodas and pergolas. Now I have an underwater chinese village!

Here they are, all that hard work once a week just to keep them happy! Bloody fish, don't know how good they have it in life. Everyday just eat and sleep and shit! And I have to feed and clean after them. Boh liao!

They are bloody stupid too, just swim around all day looking at their own reflections. Every time they see me they think I was going to feed them and they can eat and eat and eat. Wanna see them eat? Check out their eating frenzy below...

My First Time

So many people have done it and they do it regularly too but for me this is the first time! I'm a little inexperience so please go easy on me but I'll do my best. This is the first time I post about a song that I like very much. What? What were you thinking of? Dirty minds! I'm talking about posting a song I like so much that I've decided to blog about it!

And the song is Far Away by Nickelback. At my age there's not a lot of songs out there that catch my interest easily anymore but I can't get enough of this particular song. They play it on the radio everyday when I drive to and from work and everytime they play it I will sing along to it (more like hum along, don't know the lyric off my head). But I do remember the first 2 lines of the first chorus and I would belt out loud when it came to that part! And Terese loves hearing me sing that 2 lines! hehehe! Wanna know which 2 lines of the first chorus? I've even post the lyric down for you!

"Far Away"

This time, This place
Misused, Mistakes
Too long, Too late
Who was I to make you wait
Just one chance
Just one breath
Just in case there's just one left
'Cause you know,
you know, you know

[CHORUS]
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I miss you
Been far away for far too long
I keep dreaming you'll be with me
and you'll never go
Stop breathing if
I don't see you anymore

On my knees, I'll ask
Last chance for one last dance
'Cause with you, I'd withstand
All of hell to hold your hand
I'd give it all
I'd give for us
Give anything but I won't give up
'Cause you know,
you know, you know

[CHORUS]

So far away
Been far away for far too long
So far away
Been far away for far too long
But you know, you know, you know

I wanted
I wanted you to stay
'Cause I needed
I need to hear you say
That I love you
I have loved you all along
And I forgive you
For being away for far too long
So keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
'Cause I'm not leaving you anymore
Believe it
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go
Keep breathing
Hold on to me and, never let me go

So have you heard this song before? If you haven't you can listen to it here. You can also watch a short clip of it below but I'm sure you will love it as much as I do!

To Alex Allied From Melbourne

Alex Allied requested me to take some pictures of where he lives in Melbourne. He's in Malaysia now but I think he misses Melbourne very much particularly down by the beach near his place.

So here they are buddy! And to authenticate that I actually took these pictures yesterday I took them with the date stamped on them. It was around 12.30 pm when I went out for lunch.

Just look at what you are missing, beautiful blue sky, sunny but cool day. Forecast for the day was 22 degrees celsius but I think it was around 18 when I was there. Cool crisp sea breeze blowing in from the bay, nice! Just heavenly! Are you hot and humid where you are now?

So does this make you miss Melbourne even more? Then why are you still over there? You've been gone so long I'm sure Milo doesn't recognise you anymore. Get your ass back here so we can have a mini blogger meet!

My 2006 Winter Collections

I needed some new jeans and a warm jacket coz I've only got 2 pairs of jeans that fit and an old jacket that I've been wearing for goodness how long! Kmart is having a 25% off all clothing sale and Terese happily took me there yesterday mainly because of the sale.

I can't speak for all men but if I was to go and buy myself a pair of jean I would just have a quick try on, happy? Good, take it. But yesterday I had Terese with me and it wasn't that simple. She was very meticulous in choosing the right ones with the right back pocket position so that it would look just right when I wear it. She picked out 2 pairs for me and sent me into the fitting room but I had to come out to parade for her to show her how the jeans fit on me everytime I try one on! I think she likes taking me out shopping for me coz she gets to dress me up like a life-size doll! Just out curiousity, do all you silais out there like shopping for your man and taking them along for fitting?

So we decided to get both pairs of jeans since I've only got 2 at home that fit. Luckily the jacket was easier to try on, just put it over what I was wearing and looked OK, yes we'll take that too.

These are el-cheapo clothings from Kmart. I don't shop for designer jeans that cost AUD100.00 AUD15.00 after 25% discount is what I pay for each pair of jean and the jacket cost me AUD30.00 after the discount. Jeans are from Bangladesh man! Not Paris or New York!

The last time I bought jeans I fit nicely in a size 82 but today I had to fit in a size 87! I'm growing big...around the waist only. Nevermind...be a while to go before I join the Suituapui, QuaVadis and Kpg Nangka Boy club!

Charcoal Chicken

Last week I went looking for lunch in Bay Street, Port Melbourne and came across this place called Charcoal Chicken.

Hmm...looks like a good place for lunch, they sell chickens grilled with charcoal the old fashion way. I might give it a try.

Oops, I think they may have overdone it with the chickens!

In fact, I think they've overdone it with the shop. They charcoal grilled the entire shop!

Arab's Eye

Melbourne's weather has been getting cold lately and its not even winter yet. Usually we get this sort of weather from May onwards but somehow winter decides to come early this year.

So much so that some of my bulbous plants are starting to sprout like these Ornithogalum Arabicum or commonly known as Arab's Eye. Usually I'll plant these out in mid May but I don't think they'll be able to wait till then.

So what better way to spend my Sunday afternoon than to plant out these excellent spring flowering plants. Last year I did a post on planting petunia, today I'll show you how to plant flowering bulbs in containers. I used a plastic pot for this occasion and premium quality potting mix (always use premium quality mix if you want good quality results). I mixed in some fertiliser for bulbs which is high in potassium to encourage better flowers.

Place the bulbs on top of the mix leaving some spaces between them for growth. Some people might think this is too close but I've never had any problem and it will give a more compact display of the flowers later in Spring.

Simply back fill to cover the bulbs but not all the way to the rim of the pot so that when you water the pot it will create a reservoir of water, soaking the soil as the water drains away. Keep the pot in a sunny position to get some warmth during the winter months. Only water when the mix is looking rather dry. And that's it!

Come spring time in October they will reward you with beautiful long lasting white flowers with black centers giving them the name of Arab's Eye! This picture was taken 2 years back but they are from the bulbs I've just shown you.

Have You Seen Her?

A fellow blogger's sister has gone missing and her family is worried sick. Her name is Cecilia Wong Ee Leen and she's suspected to be in KL. You can find more details here but if you think you've seen her please contact PKWong on 013-571-9755.

I was a little reluctant to post this today because I do not know the whole story. What if she's running away from an abusive relationship? Then I'm probably doing her more harm than good. On second thought I have to assume she's not and hope she's safe. Her mother and grandmother are worried sick so even if she doesn't want to go back she could at least call them and tell them she's safe. I hope things work out for her and her family.

Lin Dynasty Chapter 21: The 18 Bronzemen

Incase you don't know Lin Peh started a story of the Lin Dynasty and the story has been continuing by other bloggers with the last one by Wingz who wrote a fantastic cliff hanger at the end of the chapter. So now he passed the baton over to me to continue the story where he left off. You can read all the previous chapters here.

This is chapter 21 of the Lin Dynasty: The 18 Bronzemen. I hope you like it coz I practically pulled my hair out thinking how was I going to pickup where Wingz left off! Anyway this is where chapter 20 finishes;

Among linpeh favourite recruits was this man by the name of 9393, he is a well known assasin with a thing for ballet dancing ..... little do niahma or helen knows that this 9393 will be their blackstar (Haksing) in the later days .... *drumroll* cheng cheng cheennnggg!

Chapter 21 begins here;

So Lin Peh has been busy recruiting henchmen & women to build up his empire for his evil plan when one day Ti Long aka Chu Liu Xiang came to apply for a job there (if you don't know who Ti Long is you are probably too young to read this post so go read Kenny Sia's blog). Lin Peh was very impressed with Ti Long because of his kungfu and also he's good in stealing things which Lin Peh thought is surely to come handy! Little did Lin Peh realised later on that Ti Long is also very hamsup one and he's always hitting on Helen! Summore things kept disappearing from his house eversince Ti Long came so he decided to fire him lah! But Ti Long wouldn't go quietly so Lin Peh had to find someone more powderful than Ti Long to kick him outta his house.

Luckily he found Wang Yu the one arm swordsman! Wang Yu is perfect for the job coz beside being good in sword fights he never smile wan, always serious liddat sked the shit outta hamsup Ti Long!

So one day Wang Yu and Lin Peh were practising kungfu in the backyard and Wang Yu noticed that Lin Peh's kungfu is really crap! He said to Lin Peh, "How do you expect to take over the world with kungfu liddat! You better go learn from Shaolin Temple and pass the 18 Bronzemen Trial first lah!"

So Lin Peh agreed to what Wang Yu told him and he went to learn from the monks in Shaolin Temple for 3 years. At the end of 3 years he decided to take the trial of the 18 Bronzemen! This is indeed a difficult trial, not many people have survived the trial. There were 18 levels to go through and each level is filled with booby traps to stop you dead in your track literally.

But Lin Peh managed to pass most of the levels with flying colours. He had to battle the 18 Bronzemen who literally are covered in bronze or is it gold?

In the last few levels it was so difficult that he had trouble beating those Bronzemen who by now look like robots with armours! But luckily he remembered playing his Sony Playstation back home and realised this is just another game! So he googled for the cheats in the 18 Bronzemen Trial and sure enough found out how to win the game in no time!

So that's how Lin Peh graduated from Shaolin Temple after the last level where he had to grab a burning kiln by holding it with his arms and chest subsequently tattooing the dragons on his chest and arms which stamped the graduation!

With his new skills from Shaolin Temple he is now able to achieve his plan to build his Lin Dynasty! But little did he know that someone close to him that he trust is working on a different plan that would cause his demise...

...to be continued by Laksa to whom I pass the baton to! Go get them brader!

I Can’t Say Goodbye......

This is a Special Parting Message from Amelia to all her blogging friends.

I Can’t Say Goodbye......

If I didn’t have you, I don’t know what I would do.
For with you I have so much…laughter…fun…sweetness…happiness...and love.
All of you are a rare combination of so many special things.
You bring me feelings that know no limits, and smiles that never go away.
You are a part of every day of my life, whether you are close enough to touch or reach to all but my hopes and dreams.
I love you all for your understanding and care.
You have created lasting changes in my life and in the way I want tomorrow to be.
You have given me the courage to express what I feel inside.
We have shared thoughts that have brought us together, and that will keep us there from now until the end of time.
Thank you, my friends…your love for blogging is a gift that will forever be.

Wuching, my Foochow Aussie mate, you’re simply the best. Everybody loves Wuching, too.

Laksa, there’s no better laksa in this world than Sarawak laksa. I’m going to miss your cooking very much.

Yvy, do think of me when you have that second sip of teh tarik every day. I wish you & Ted everlasting love & happiness!

Che-Cheh, don’t forget to pat Chester for me.

Stargazer, smile always and chin up as a beautiful sunflower should be.

Luxferi, I’ll still be your fairy-angel & I wish you & Jee a love that will never grow old.

5xmom, you're a superwoman & I hope to be as strong as you one day.

Chin Kian, Mei, Robin & Alex, all the very best in your studies & future undertakings.

Sisuahlai, carry on enjoying life…the hokkien way!

STP, QV & Cooking4STP, do try to lessen your bickering in other people’s comment box.

KNB, you are handsome but unlike what some people say, I don’t have my eyes set on you.

Girl Friday, stay young & beautiful forever.

Lastly, Jeremy C, you’re a dear friend & although you said “Don’t dream it’s over”, it is.

I have to go away my friends…I really don’t know when I will be back…

If anyone ever asked me what part of my life you all are…
I would just have to look at them and smile and say, “The BEST part.”
I love you all very much… hence…I can’t say goodbye……

I've Made It!

Yes I've made it! I've made it into People's magazine and I was interviewed by People Magazine's chief editor Helen after winning the popularity contest organised by Laksa Diaries.

Head over to Helen's blog to read up on the interview and also of her interview with Lilian aka 5xmom who was my co-winner! You can read all about the juicy intimate secrets that Helen managed to squeeze out of me.

So now that I'm famous, I'll be waiting for all the fame and fortune to come rolling in! I might need an agent now to deal with all the contracts and a personal assistant to schedule my busy life. Applications are open to female only please.

While You Are Sleeping...

I think by now we all know what's happened to Siao Cha Bor so I'm not even going into the details. I just hope everyone would say a little prayer for her and her family especially her little daughter. Here's my first pathetic attempt at writing a poem for her...

while you are sleeping...
the blogosphere grinds to a halt
the readers anticipate your next post
the bloggers eagerly wait for your cheeky comments

while you are sleeping...
your daughter cries for your embrace
your family stay by your sides
your friends pray for you

while you are sleeping...
people miss you
people cry for you
people are calling for you to wake up

C'mon Cha Bor, time to get up!

Top 10 Bloggers Results

Well the time has finally comes. The polls are closed and we have the results for the Top 10 Bloggers. I would like to thank Laksa for the poll and all the bloggers for being such good sports and especially the readers who voted in the elections. Everyone's a winner as far as I'm concerned. Its all good fun and game so let's see who's on top.

In the female categories we have 5xmom as the winner follows closely by Yvy. Fire Angel and Suan are not far behind either. In the male categories I'll have to say I'm really surprised with the result! Kenny Sia in 2nd place after me? How could I possibly beat Kenny with his big coconuts? Its gotta be a mistake or maybe the kitten had a lot to do with it? Well, since most of you wanted the kitten to live then true to my words, I shall let the kitten live!

So now that I've won the election what's next? Well I think its time I let everyone know about my plan to take over the blogospheres and eventually the world! The election and the kitten were just part of the greater evil schemes of mine to take over the world with the help of a few Sibu Foochow people who's been working for me eversince from the start! It is time to reveal ourselves...

MUAHAHAHHAHA!!!!!!!!

I am none other than Dr. Evil Wuching! *Jeng Jeng Jeng*(shock & awe music playing). You have all been duped by my evil scheme and now I am your new master! Muahahahahahahaha!

Eeeeeeeeeee.....

And this is Miniwongpkme! A smaller version of me but just as evil. An extension of my evil mind and a loyal friend. Minime, you complete me!

When I get angry, Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset. And when Mr. Bigglesworth gets upset... people die!

I've not only spared the live of the kitten I also got to raise it as my own but eventually it lost all its fur coz Suituapui shaved it (he hates cats). Now he's always on my lap and I call him Mr. Bigglesworth. Oh and he's just as evil too.

Ya Doktoire Ebile...

I would never have won the election if it wasn't for the help of Amelia my campaign manager now revealed to you as my henchwoman Ms. Frau Amelia Farbissina. She's a bit camera shy so can't show you her face yet.

To aid me in my campaign of terror across the blogosphere, I enlisted the help of Suituapui the Fat Bastard who looks like Jay Leno, a fellow Sibu foochow and one who's always creating havocs in every blog he visited.

But my campaign is not over yet for there is one who can spoil my plans, one who's going to bring my grand scheme down and he's none other than...

Oh behave! Hehehehe!

...Austin Wingz Powers!
Patt Leong Kum of the blogosphere, he's loved by all female readers and bloggers. All men wanted to be like him but there's only one Austin Wingz Powers! Very shaggedelic baby!

I'm Foxy Yvy Cleopatra & I'm a whole lotta woman!

And to help him stop my plans is Foxy Yvy Cleopatra. This hot mama is too hot to handle! I must get rid of them if I want my plans to work so the battle is still not over yet!

Illusions Of Lust

Damn! This is the most boring Easter long weekend I've ever had to endure! Shops are not open on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, the weather is cold, wet and overcast and there's nothing to do but ride out the boring weekend at home! *Sigh*

Nothing to post also so I'll let these pictures from Amelia entertain you. Yvy, if you've seen these already just pretend you haven't and act surprised lah!

Wingz, start your imaginative juices flowing liao!

Ah Pek, have a drink..of beer not milk, OK?

Helen, this thong will look good on you not the oranges.

Laksa, this is a pen and not something else you are thinking.

Cocka Doodle, this is not a woman's cleavage but an open book.

Siao Cha Bor, don't get dirty thoughts now..its just the handbrake of a car.

Chin Kian, you should know this is just a hand on a mouse so don't lick it!

And Lilian, don't nose bleed over some bread. Just eat it!
