Setback of gardening

This time of the year in spring the roses are growing vigorously which is good. There are plenty of new basal shoots sprouting out from every bush but because being basal shoots they are also not hardy enough to stand on their own. A strong gust of wind is all it takes to knock them down and usually end up breaking the whole shoot. Its disheartening seeing your beloved roses loose all the buds ready to bloom. Such is the setback of gardening.
