Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 13: Finishing up the undercarriage

Well, are we done with the undercarriage yet or not? It's been a long time coming trying to piece together all the parts needed for the undercarriage but finally I can say it's done!

In Step 13 there's only 3 parts that needed to be painted and attached to the rest of the undercarriage. They're all of the same color as the main fuselage which is Tamiya's AS-16 Grey.

This is a short and easy step; all I had to do was spray painted the 3 parts and they're ready to go.

Nice way to finish off this sub-assembly, it covers up the odd places where you can see all the imperfections. Now I can finally go put everything together in the next step.

Drug Rehab

Alcohol and drug addiction is a serious health issue facing any society. It can ruin lives and put a huge strain on the community. The best way to fight addiction is prevention but for those that have already fallen into the trap drug rehab is there to help.

There are many rehab centers all across the country; most of them specializing in their particular fields of addiction and Sunset Malibu is one of the best rehab centers around.

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 12: Some more addtion to the undercarriage

As the project gets closer and closer to the end one can get a bit too hasty in finishing off the project thus rushing the steps through. I have to learn to pace myself.

In Step 12 there's just a few more pieces of parts to be added to the undercarriage of the ship. Nothing too hard about this step, it was quite easy actually.

I just had to paint these pieces before attaching them to the ship. The white is actually light grey like the main fuselage and the other parts are field grey.

Can you spot where I attach them?

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 11: More on the undercarriage

I'm almost at the end of this project but there's still a bit more to go before I can say it's done. This project has taken me a long time to do partly because I take me time doing it so it can be better than my previous projects.
Today I'll show you what's involved in Step 11, basically adding more stuff onto the undercarriage. It seems there's more details than the front of the ship which will be shown more.

These are the components that I needed to do, I don't know what they are but they look important! First I painted them in their appropriate colors of black, neutral grey, german grey and a mixture of 2 other colors to get that woody color for the thrusters?

After they're dried its just a simple effort of gluing them to their places underneath. You may think that's plenty of detail just for the underneath but wait there's more in Step 12 and 13...

Herbal Acne Treatment

It’s a sad fact that we all grow up with pimples and acne especially in our teen years. There are so many treatments on the market that it can be daunting finding the right one for you.

Personally I prefer natural treatment like an herbal acne treatment from AcneXus.com formulated for teenagers as well as adults. Acnexus helps heal and prevent breakouts, getting rid of blackheads once and for all, get rid of oily, red and itchy skins and can do all these within 24 hours guaranteed!

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 10, Part 4: Finalising Step 10

Finally I managed to finish Step 10 but not completing everything I still have to do with the undercarriage. No no, there's more to be done. So many more tiny parts to paint and attach to.

But when I do finish the undercarriage the rest will be quite easy and fast; just a matter of putting all those sub-assemblies I've made together. I do have to build the stand and a little standing figurine of Boba for scale though.

Mushrooms

The last week we've been getting some cold nights and wet mornings. With the extra moisture but still warm days mushrooms are starting to sprout all across my lawn.
I don't know what mushrooms these are but they are all over my lawn. Starts off like the phallus shape you see then it will pop up like an umbrella as the day warms up. But it never last, maybe a day of two it'll die down and more to take its place the next days.

Lighting for the home

Being the middle unit in a group of three houses our house can get a little dark sometimes especially in winters.

Don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining, it keeps our house cool in summer but in winter it’s very dark so we’re planning to get some lighting into the house with good quality lighting fixtures and sky roofs where possible. Time to go shopping.

Gifts among bloggers

Just been to the post office to send off the parcel I organized for Hijackqueen; 3 tulip bulbs, 3 daffodil bulbs and 2 packets of pineapple chips. Funny how bloggers like sending present to one another across the other side of the world, we don't even care that it isn't economical doing so but that it is something we want to do just for fun.

I enjoy receiving gifts from my blogger friends on the other side of the globe as well. Makes me feel like I'm loved! Someone cares enough to take the trouble to send me gifts so I will appreciate the presents very very much.

Tungsten Rings

The designs for conventional wedding rings, engagement rings or simply friendship rings are so boring nowadays.

If you’re looking for sleek, modern and durable rings then you should take a look at tungsten rings. These rings are made by forging tungsten and carbide together to form indestructible rings that will last forever and you can find all these at Titanium-Jewelry.com.

Haven't paid the rents

Looks like Mrs Kiamsiap Boss has done it again. The accountant for the premises we rent has just been in. He said he was in the neighborhood so just drop in to say hi...and to let Mr Kiamsiap Boss that the rents for the last 2 months hasn't been paid yet!

There is always the possibility that Mrs Kiamsiap Boss had paid the wrong people through BPAY, well she is quite old and I've seen her making a few mistakes all these years.

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 10, Part 3: Finishing the skirting

I had to redo the skirting because I went overboard with scratching the paint. At first I thought of stripping all the paint off and start from scratch again like I did with the main hull.

But then I decided that I could just give it another coat of hull red and see how it turns out this time. The first time I scratched too hard and made some nasty deep scratch marks on the plastic that wouldn't go away. I'll just have to scratch those areas again later.

I decided to leave the scratching till the end so I continued painting the other parts of the skirting like these stripe down the middle with german grey.

I used these micron masking tapes to give me an accurate mask. They are very good, the paint won't bleed underneath like normal masking tapes do. I got these from Japan but I can't find them being sold here.

That's all the painting done to the skirting. Now to scratch the paint to get that worn out look.
I was very careful this time not to go overboard but just enough to make it look worn and old. That's the best I can do.

Office Space Connecticut

If you’re in Connecticut and looking for a good location for your business then look no further than MySqureFeet.com where you can search free for office space, retail space or industrial space.

Stop wasting your precious time looking at properties but instead use this free service where you can have full-page descriptions of the properties listed on the market. Go find your office space Connecticut there today.

Let's wait and see.

Haha LOL We've just sold an item ob eBay for $70 not what the Kiamsiap Boss wanted. So what should we do? Let it go for $70 or forget about it? Will have to check with the Kiamsiap Boss tomorrow, I'm home now so will have to wait till tomorrow.

Speaking of which there's lots of items listed on eBay that are ending tomorrow so it would be interesting to see who's interested. At the moment not very many bidders though but when the time draws nearer it might be a different story. Let's wait and see.

BDU pants

For law enforcers, militants or just plain outdoor enthusiasts then you should know about BDU pants. BDU pants have been part of the US military for years and are also adopted worldwide.

They’re not only durable and comfortable but right now you can buy them at very good prices at LAPoliceGear.com where you can find all your favorite BDUs.

Grrr...

Why is it that every time we put an item up for sale on eBay the buyers have to come from interstate? We were hoping we don't have to organize transportation and just have the buyers pick up the items from us saving us time and hassle.

But it was not to be, so far the only inquiries we're getting are from interstate; one from Queensland and the other from NSW I think. It would help if they told us their suburbs cause the courier company would want to know that before giving a quote. Grrr..

511 Tactical pants

For people who work for the federal, state and local law enforcement agencies then there’s only one place you need to go when shopping for your tactical pants and other apparels.

LAPoliceGear.com has all the 5.11 Tactical pants that are comfortable, durable and are the choice for law enforcement agencies for years. Check them out today.

Mr. Fixit

Came into work this morning and found the email not working. What's going on? Rang up Mrs Kiamsiap Boss and found out she stuffed it up! Stewpig mutherfarker! Leave our email account alone wiil ya?

Apparently she wanted to find out if we had any work coming thru the email like normal but she did it at home. She didn't know the password so she rang up the service provider who gave her a temporary password to log in and to change to a new password. Well did she do it? Nope, everything has to be left for me to clean up. I'm Mr Fixit!

Funny t-shirts

My favorite clothing is actually my jeans and t-shirts so suffice to say I buy lots of t-shirts whenever there’s a sale on.

I particularly like those funny t-shirts; you know the ones that have funny drawings with great phrases like ‘Shit Happens’ and stuff like that? Well now I’ve found a website that sells all these funny t-shirts and I’m like a kid in a candy store!

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 10, Part 2: The skirting

I'm starting work on the skirting of the ship. This part is actually quite tricky needing to get worn off peeled off paint look. I don't know if I can do it...

But first I needed a base for it using Tamiya's AS-16 gray on top as well as bottom since parts of the bottom will be exposed as well.

Then I had to mask the open areas so that when I spray the next color of hull red on it will not get into the bottom part of the skirting.

This is the skirting after I had sprayed with Mr. Hobby's 29 hull red color. I have removed the masking tapes, the middle part will be hidden later so it doesn't matter if it has bits of gray and red on it.

To make the worn peeled paint effect I scratched the surface with sand paper but I think I got carried away a bit and went overboard. There's a lot of deep ugly scratches on it. I think I'll have to redo this...

Start savings from small

The best lesson parents can teach their children is to know the value of money and how to save and not waste it. At a very young tender age you should open some kind of savings accounts for your children and make it a habit for them to put a bit of their allowances into the accounts to watch their savings grow. Before you know it they’ll have their own little nest eggs tucked away for rainy days.

Tricycle

Aww..isn't that the cutest? Little cutie's tricycle is chained to the bicycle stand together with the parent's bike. This way no thief's going to steal your little tricycle now isn't it?

Sorry for the bad quality picture but this photo was taken with Motorola V3 camera phone so the quality is never going to be perfect. I wouldn't mind the 5 mega-pixel camera phone they selling though!

PC and video games

One of the nephews is having his birthday next weekend. He’s fifteen and I can’t decide what to give him.

I supposed boys his age are into PC and video games but it has been a while since I played those and I have no idea what’s hot and what’s not nowadays. I need some help in this department and Buy.com is just the life saver I need, they have all the latest games available in all platforms. Go check them out today.

Roach

This is the cockroach I captured last night in the bathroom. The weather's been exceptionally warm this year which triggers a boom in cockroach population. We see cockroaches on a daily basis in and outside the house.

So what do I do when I catch one? I leave it in the container until it dies of starvation! Muahahahahahahaha..that's for scaring my wife in the bathroom.

Finding Baby Clothes

The other day while shopping for some Baby Clothes at the department store I couldn’t help but noticing they don’t have very much in term of range.

And the ones that are available all pretty much look similar when you compare one to the other. There has to be a better way of looking for nice kids’ clothing and SandboxCouture.com is the place for good quality children’s wears.

Another item for sale

Here's another item my Kiamsiap Boss made me sell on eBay; showroom garment display rack. It's listed online now and so far only 1 inquiry all the way from Queensland!

He only wants $100 for it, more if he could but I doubt if it gets there. Good price though, it can extend to 25 meters long. You just secure the whole structure to the wall and floor. You want it?

Alcohol Rehab

We all enjoy the occasion drinks every now and then during social events or when we’re relaxing at home. In fact a little bit of alcohol can be good for all of us as long as we drink in moderation.

Sadly there are people in the community who can get abused by alcohol and drink to excess causing violence in their homes. There are help out there; if you or a loved one has a drinking problem then alcohol rehab can help.

*Evil Laugh*

I was on my way to work the other day when I saw this trailer in front of me. All the way down the freeway and off again with the rubbish dropping along the way.

It is a requirement by law to secure your load when carrying loads of any kind, especially rubbish. Should I send this photo to the police so he can get a summon? *evil laugh*

Buying baby gifts

When it comes to Baby Gifts I am totally clueless. A few friends are expecting these coming months and I have to start buying some gifts for them.
Lucky for me SandBoxCouture.com helps me big time with their endless supply of kids wears ranging from infant to toddler. So now I’m all set for whatever baby showers they’re going to invite me to!

Gridmesh for sale

My Kiamsiap Boss at work is trying to get rid of some of the fictures and fittings he has from his old shop and it includes 4 grid meshes that you can hang on the wall.
There are 4 of them made of steel covered with plastic. Just screw 4 screws onto the wall to hang them and then you can display your garments on them. Who wants to buy?

Grow Lights

Being a gardening enthusiast I’m thinking of venturing into hydroponics now. This way I can grow my favorite plants without the need for soil like tomatoes.

I do need to set up the whole system; a garage is ideal, then all the structures needed and most importantly grow lights to grow the plants. You can find all the growing lights needs at AccessDiscounts.us and get your hydroponics growing.

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 10, Part 1: More work on the undercarriage.

Moving along to Step 10 sees me continuing with the undercarriage of the ship. There's so much to do here; painting gluing, more painting and gluing...

Looks like this section is going to take as much time as the main hull but I managed to get through a lot over the weekend. That's what I like about FineMolds, they pay much attention to details.

I had to paint these 2 semi circle wheels that go on the sides of the undercarriage. Don't know what they're called but an overall color of Tamiya's XF-53 Neutral Gray followed by a mixture of Tamiya's XF-64 and XF-49 to finish off the pieces.

The wheels are then glued to the sides of the undercarriage which also had Tamiya's XF-65 Gield Gray painted to some parts of it. That's just half the job done, more to come...

New baby on the way

Looks like there's going to be an addition to the clan soon, just heard from mum that big sister is expecting another baby this coming spring. Hopefully it will be a girl this time, she's already had three boys!

That reminded me that I better start looking for baby clothes to give as presents. SandboxCouture.com is the place to go for all the clothes you need for the little people. I've been buying from them for ages, they're great!

Building Boba Fett's Slave 1 Step 9: Starting on the undercarriage.

Finally I have finish the main hull so can move on to Step 9 where I can start working on building the undercarriage of the ship. If you think the main hull was too much work then you haven't seen the undercarriage yet!

There are more detailed parts involved with the undercarriage. Most of them have to be painted with different colors and then meticulously glued together. To start off I gave the whole piece a once over Tamiya's AS-16 Gray then I painted certain areas with Tamiya's XF-63 German Gray.

This makes the parts stand out as part of the engine. It looks easy but it's actually very time consuming and you need a steady eyes and hand to carefully paint only the areas you want, some areas are deep inside amongst all the other pieces...

Baby Gifts

I just heard news that one of the cousins has given birth to a healthy baby girl again. Looks like its time to go shopping for more baby gifts like the usual baby clothes, toys and blankets.

Babies grow out of their clothes so quick that you have to keep buying them new clothes because they out wear their tiny clothes faster than you can say gaga!
