Term life insurance

Growing up I’ve never given two hoots for life insurance, I’ve always thought I was indestructible. Now that I’m married with children and growing older it might not be a bad idea to consider taking up life insurance for the sake of my family. There are too many to choose from though from term life insurance to variable life insurance. I think I’m going to need some expert advice to help me choose the right one.

Let it pour

Aiks! Its a hot day to finish off the year with temperature expected to reach 38C before the cool change arriving between 9 and midnight. Just in time to dampen the New Year count down and fireworks. Well I won't be in the city so I'd prefer the rain so let it pour, let it pour, let it pour!

North Carolina Health Insurance

I’ve always been one to think that I was invincible so when health insurance is the last thing I wanted to spend my hard earned money on. As the years pass I realized that I’m a mortal after all. Maybe a health insurance wouldn’t be such a bad idea since now I have a family and we’re expecting our family to grow in the years to come. That’s when I decided to give North Carolina health insurance company a call. Now I think it’s the best decision I’ve made in years.

Another year passes

New Year's Eve is coming and there's going to be a spectacular fireworks in the city. I like to go, I want to go but I think I'm too lazy to make an effort to go simply because traffic is going to be chaotic if I drive. I'm not the sort of person to take public transport so I guess I'll be watching the fireworks on the TV screen then. Gone are the days when nothing would stop me from having a good time. Its a sign of old age as another year passes me by.

Appetite suppressant

One of the hardest things about loosing weigh is staying off the food you love. You always feel hungry and that leads you to eat more than you really need to. To help you loose the weigh you may need to take some kind of appetite suppressant so you won’t feel hungry and have to urge to eat all the time. Together with a healthy diet and exercises you’re sure to get the body you’ve always wanted.

Can't win either way

Looks like the weather is going to warm up again this week. The expected top is 28C today and even higher tomorrow and the day after. But I'm glad its only expected to reach the mid thirties and not the forties which would be most unbearable.

So we're expecting a warm New Year Day follows by thundery showers which would be most welcoming. Speaking of which New South Wales is getting flooded by the torrential rain they've been having. You either get no rain or too much rain. Can't win either way.

Rackmount LCD

Being a computer technician it’s handy that you have the right tools for the right jobs when you’re out and about. The most recent item on the wish list at the moment is a rackmount lcd that I can take with me wherever I go. I can simply plug into any computer to do my work on. It’s simply brilliant, I should have gotten one ages ago. Would have save myself some headaches.

Happy New Year!

Christmas is over, time to get back to work. Though today is a holiday in-lieu of Boxing Day falling on a Saturday we can't afford to have another day off work. One weekend of rest is enough, there's just too much work to do.

From here on its another mad rush of go go go non-stop till it quiets down by the end of the month according to previous years. Its tiring but I shouldn't complain, better to be busy than not at all. Happy New Year!

Arthritis treatment

As the years roll on I find my body is starting to let me down. I’ve always been fit all my life but I guess no one can avoid the inevitable. I’m starting to get aches from all parts of my body. Not sure what causes the pains but I may need to seek arthritis treatment in the near future. Or I could just be imagining all this!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone! Can't believe another Christmas is upon us. I've lost count of how many years I've been blogging. Though I don't blog as regularly as I used to, I still manage to maintain this blog after all these years and I hope I will continue to do so for many more.

Thanks all for your support all these years. Let us all enjoy the holiday season safely & here's looking towards 2010.

Playa del Carmen all inclusive

It’s nearly Christmas but with the heavy workload I still haven’t even plan our Christmas holidays for this year yet! Is it too late? I just want to go somewhere warm by the sea and I need to do it quick. Lucky I found just the place; we’re going to Playa del Carmen for the holidays! And it’s not too late to book, I can do it all at playa del carmen all inclusive website where I can get the flights and hotel all sorted out. Easy, so bring on the holidays!

When is it time?

When you're invited to someone's house for a party, when is it time for you to leave? When do you know you have overstayed your welcome? And is there such a thing as overstaying your welcome? What if the host kept insisting that you stay longer, does that mean you have to do as requested or does that mean the host was just being polite? All these questions raced through my head when we were invited to an early Christmas lunch that lasted into dinner time and by the time we left it was nearly bedtime!

American standard sinks

Living in another country makes me homesick. Therefore in the house we live in we always try to make it homely to remind us of home by using furniture and decorations from home. We’re such nostalgic freaks but when you’re far from home you’ll do the same! We’re working on the bathroom at the moment; it’s so hard to find the American Standard sinks here. We may have to special order one from home.

In a perfect world

After weeks of waiting for the rain it finally arrived this morning around 6. And it poured and poured till now. The gardens had a good drenching and all my rainwater storage bins are full. That should last me for a couple of weeks and I shouldn't have to collect any shower water till the next dry. In a perfect world the rain will come every week to replenish the gardens but we're in no perfect world we're living in.

Floor tiles

In my house we have timber floor board covering the entire ground floor. I like the look and feel of timber floors but they do have their disadvantages also especially if it’s in the kitchen. I’m thinking of changing the floor covering in the kitchen, I’m thinking of getting floor tiles instead. That way it’ll be easier to keep clean because tile floors are easy to sweep and mop.

Cynthia came to town.

It has been a couple of years since Cynthia came to town. That was the first time we met her and we had a great day then. Friday night we had a nice surprise when she pop up again, this time with Kian her boyfriend also. They're down here looking to buy a property and will eventually move here to live, which is great. We'll be able to see each other more often then. Its funny how friendship can bloom so quickly through blogging.

My trusty laptop

I bought my laptop a couple of years back and I can say that it was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Though it’s not a high end system it does everything I need it to do and it does it well. Some people buy laptops to play games on, now that’s just silly. If you’re going to play games then you might as well get a desktop or better still a game console! Leave the laptop for serious stuff like work, have you done that recently?

The silly season

For us the silly season has already begun; this is the time when we are at our busiest. The clients will dump all their work with us before going on their holidays and expect them back by the time they come back next year. Meaning no time for rest for us, most nights will be spent working into the wee mornings. That's the nature of this business; we get quiet times and we get busy times and we have to make the most of the busy times to compensate for the quiet times.

Car accessories

I can still remember back in the days when I was a bit of a petrol head. It started when I bought my first sports car; a 1992 Honda Prelude. It was the best looking car on the streets at the time and I was a slave to it! Everyday is spent cleaning it and buying auto accessories for it. But it was well worth it because the looks I get from the chicks were priceless!

Total fire ban day

Today's the most dangerous fire danger day since February 7th last year. Melbourne is expected to reach a top temperature of 36C but the forecast is usually less than the real temperature. Other parts of the state are expected to reach into the 40's so its a total fire ban for most parts of the state including Melbourne.

Seriously, we're still in spring and summer is not meant to start till next month. If this is what we can expect in spring then I don't want to know what summer is going to be like.

Gold investment

I know of a few friends who invest their money in gold instead of the stock exchange or properties. I suppose you have to know what you’re doing if you want to buy gold bullion as an investment. Some of them told me how the returns is really good so now I’m inclined to do the same too. Not restriciting to just buy bullion, you can also buy gold coin instead.

I’m a little nervous since gold is very new to me as an investment so I have to do my homework before I use my hard earned cash to purchase gold bullion or coins and hope to get a handsome profit along the way. I think I should ask my friends for some advise, I’ll start a couple who buy bullion on a daily basis. I’m sure they can give me some good tips.

That is it

Spent the whole Sunday helping the inlaws move..again. But today we finally got everything out of the old house and into the new one. Its taken over 2 weekends to shift all their worldly possessions. Things that have been accumulated in that house for 26 years. Should have hired a truck and we'd have got everything done quicker because instead we had a trailer to transport all the stuff in several trips thus wasting a lot of time in the process. Nevermind, its all done now so that is it.

Acne treatment

Damn! My acne is firing up again. I have such a problem with my skin and I’m forever finding acne treatment for my face. Just when I thought I’ve found the treatment for me my acne fights back after a couple of weeks. I don’t know what to do anymore. There has to be a treatment that would stop my acne on its track. Help!

Defacto long weekend

Today is the start of a defacto 4 day weekend. Its defacto because traditionally people take the Monday off so they can extend the weekend into Tuesday which is a holiday. So whats the holiday? Its the Melbourne Cup Day of course. The horse racing day that stops the nation. Every punters will be arriving at Flemington racecourse for the big day out, even from overseas. What am I going to do? Like what I always do every year; nothing.

Samsonite luggage

I can’t remember the last time we went away for a little break. Its time I think before we get too stressed out. Digging out the luggage from the storeroom we found that they’re way past their due date with broken straps and locks. Time to get a trust worthy Samsonite luggage that would last us longer that is trusted since I can remember.

The local fruit monger

It gives me the irate that the local fruit monger is using the car park behind them as their private loading bay. Every morning I see them taking up a big chunk of the car park space to load their produce for the day. There are trucks, pallets of fruits and forklift running all over the car park and it won't be long before something bad happens. The best case scenario is someone's car get scratched and worst case scenario is someone gets killed! Someone should complain to the local council about this and it may have to be me.

Walk in bath

Granny’s at her age when her mobility is getting difficult. We had to move her into a smaller one story place. She likes her independence so she can still enjoy all the privacy she needs in this new place but we just modified a few things in the house to suit her like getting a walk in bath that would greatly benefit her. Everything to make her life more convenient and comfortable.

Last night's dinner

Its been a while since we had guests over for dinner so we did that last night. Just family members though one is considered not part of the family since the divorce and her son from the current marriage. No need to delve in the past, let bygones be bygones. We can still be friends so last night's dinner was sort of a thanks giving dinner to her since she bought us dinner on the weekend.

Her new son is quite a handful though; can't seem to calm down for one second. Bouncing off the wall all night long. I don't think I could spend one day with him, his mother has so much patience with him.

Ipods

What is it with kids and ipods? Just when you thought they’re happy with the latest ipods they have to come up with a latter model. So now they’re tired of the ones they have and want the latest models. Such is the joy of parenting. Well they’ll just have to wait for Christmas I told them because I’m not a money printer!

Idiot

I'm such an idiot. When I bought my PC not long ago I thought I've already registered myself to get a free OS upgrade when the new OS comes out. Little did I know that after 4 days after the release date I went to check on the status of my registration that I found out I didn't properly register myself for the upgrade! Luckily it's still not too late so I finished off the registration so now I'm waiting for them to send me the upgrade. What an idiot!

Industrial supplies

The factory is built way out in the outer suburb. It’s a new industrial development area so there are not a lot of businesses out that way yet. Therefore we have to ship in all the industrial supplies from the nearby town. A little inconvenient but it won’t be permanent. This area is going to be prosperous in the next few years and we’ll be in the midst of it then.

Brilliant!

Bought myself a great stuff that's going to help save me water. Its actually a bucket, a tubtrug is the exact name for it. Its a bucket made of flexible plastic strong enough for any use around the house. But I use it to collect the shower water when I'm in the shower. It comes in various sizes and colour but I chose the largest size which is a 75 litre. I can stand in the bucket while I shower and I reckon I can collect about 95% of the water used. Then I simply scoop that water and use it in the garden. Brilliant!

Faucet and things

Our bathroom is getting a bit run down. Its over ten years old and things are falling apart like the faucet and shower head. I think its time for a bathroom makeover. I could do with a new bathroom, sick of looking at the old one. New tiles on the wall, new shower and bath, new vanity unit..oh the missus is going to go berserk with the renovation.

Busy day

Its been a busy Sunday. After a rather quiet Saturday today was quite a contrast. We started the day rather early for a Sunday. Went to the Farmer's Market at Bulleen, then went to the MIL's house where people are moving Emily's furniture to her new place. Also had lunch at her new place where her mother cooked gyoza for everyone.

Then we went to the MIL's new house in Sunshine and helped out a bit more before coming back where we all went out to dinner. Emily's mother treated us all again. After dinner we went to Vincent's new place. Busy day.

Dental implants Plano

I’ve put off fixing my teeth since like forever. Its time to stop procrastinating and get my teeth done once and for all. I’ve never like my teeth; they’re crooked, off white and missing a few too. Never mind because I can rely on dental implants Plano to get me the best looking smile in no time. Everyone in the office is going to be so envious of me.

There goes the weekend.

Its the weekend again but seems like I have so much to do and I'm not talking about the fun stuff. Chores, chores around the house that I've been putting them off but now they've all piled up and I have to get them all done. There goes the weekend. Why can't I have a robot at home doing all my chores for me? Life would be such a difference if that was true. Well keep dreaming then.

Medical travel

Medical specialists are so expensive in this country, no wonder most people can’t afford them. But don’t let that get in the way of you getting the medical care you need. Go overseas! Yes, you can even get a holiday at the same time. Take a medical travel to Mexico or any other countries that have cheaper medical cost so you can have the medical procedures you’ve always wanted and you can have a holiday at the same time. How good is that?

What else can I do?

Its Friday already? This week went by really fast, blink and its gone. I can just remember Monday but its Friday today. I haven't done much all week, not good. It has been a quiet week and we're coming to the end of the month again. Well according to last year's figure it is a quiet time of the year and next month will be even worse. That's the nature of the business, what else can I do?

Orange NJ cosmetic dentist

Growing up I didn’t have the opportunity to take care of my teeth the best I could so I’ve grown up with less than perfect teeth all my life. But now that I’m at that stage of my life where I can afford to take better care of myself it is time to get my teeth done properly. Friends of mine recommend orange nj cosmetic dentist that they use also. Well judging from their pearly white smiles I’m happy to follow their advise.

No rest for the wicked

Just when I thought I have a little break they sent more work to me. Not that I am complaining, its money I can sure use more of it. I just thought I could relax a bit first before jumping into it but looks like there's no rest for the wicked.

At least they've given me a week to finish everything meaning I can plan to get one done a day so its not too stressing on me. Because when I'm too stressed my creativity suffers and my work deteriorates.

Online backup

It is imperative for any business to do regular backup of their data no matter how small the business might be. But unfortunately a lot of businesses don’t do it especially small businesses until it’s too late. Backups need not be complicated, simple copying your data to another disk is better than no backup at all. Nowadays more businesses are using online backup where it’s all done over the internet to a secure server elsewhere. But whichever way you decide to go with just make a habit to backup all your work before its too late.

Earwig traps

I've decided to set up some traps for the menacing earwigs that have been pestering my veggie patch. They're simple to make; simply scrunch up some newspaper and stuff them in terracotta pots. Then place the pots upside down where the earwigs frequent and hopefully they'll use the pots as hotels for the night.

Well yesterday morning last I checked they didn't stay in them so it might be a while before they'll use the pots as refuse. And when I do find them inside I'll just set fire to the newspaper!

My support

The law says you must not download illegal movies from the internet. But with the price of a cinema entrance at $17 who can blame people breaking the law? How many family can afford the price of taking their families out to the movies these days? Economic circumstances are forcing families to do what they do, they certainly have my support.

Appetite suppressants

If you ask people who’re trying to loose weigh why they eat to excess and 9 out of 10 times they’ll tell you they can’t suppress their hunger. It would help greatly if they could take some sort of appetite suppressants to help them in the weigh loss programs. This way they won’t feel the urge to eat when they’re not supposed to and they’ll have a better chance of success.

Do the crime, do the time!

It has always been said that if you don't break the law, you don't have to worry about getting caught. But how many of us can live by this simple rule? Circumstances around us force us to do what we do, thinking its just a small crime and we'll be right. Then when you get caught and the world fall apart around you. Do the crime, do the time!

Treadmill

It’s amazing how quick we can accumulate stuff in our homes over the years. Recently we’ve been cleaning out the mess and selling some of the junks like the exercise bike and the treadmill which we don’t use anymore. The rest of the stuff we sorted to give to charity or to take it to the tip. Now it makes a great difference, we have plenty of room in the house!

Poss Off

Possum problem has been a pain in the neck in my garden for a number of years now and still is. Early this spring I thought they've gone away but I was wrong. They came back just when the rose buds were big and juicy and they ate them all. Now I'm trying Poss Off possum spray and it seems to be working. Thing is you have to keep at it everyday, spraying the young shoots every evening and hopefully they will be deterred to come back.

AC filters

Summer is coming; soon it will be time to turn on the air-conditioner. It’s been a while since we turned on the ac so I think it might need a bit of attention before we switch it on. Most importantly it’s the AC filters that need attention. I neglected to change the filters a couple of years ago and I thought my ac needed repair because it wasn’t blowing clod air at all. All it needed was a change of filters.

Setback of gardening

This time of the year in spring the roses are growing vigorously which is good. There are plenty of new basal shoots sprouting out from every bush but because being basal shoots they are also not hardy enough to stand on their own. A strong gust of wind is all it takes to knock them down and usually end up breaking the whole shoot. Its disheartening seeing your beloved roses loose all the buds ready to bloom. Such is the setback of gardening.

Fat burner

I’ve always wondered if those fat burner pills would really work? I mean is it really that easy to swallow a pill and the weigh will miraculously fall off? I’m a sceptic and whenever I hear about things that are too good to be true, they usually turn out to be just that; too good to be true. What I trust is proof, not promises that claim to give you the world.

Picnic in the park

Its been a while since we've been on a picnic but thats exactly what we did today. The weather was good to start off with but then the cloud started moving in and we even managed to get a bit of rain. But not after we had our picnic which is good.

The park we went to was Banksia Park, we've never been there before. Apparently its right behind The Greenery, one of the nurseries we frequent. After the picnic we had to rush home to bring the washing in because of the rain. And after that its tea at our friend's place.

Skateboard ramps

My nephew is at that age when he’s really into skateboarding like most boys his age. Plus his birthday is coming up soon and I think I have just the right present for him. There are these skateboard ramps that you can buy to use in your own backyard so instead of having to go down to the local skate park you can practice your skateboarding in your own backyard.

No time to blog

After a long week I always look forward to the weekend when instead of work I get to do the things I need to do around the house and also things I enjoy doing. Saturday is usually the day I do the housework like vacuuming, mopping and scrubbing the toilets. But this weekend I need to work so my weekend is all mucked up now. May have to postpone the housework till Sunday if I get my work all done today. No time to blog, time to get back to work.

Auto insurance quote

It’s that time of the year again; my auto insurance is due and I have to hunt around for another auto insurance quote. I used to have to ring a few places to get the right quotes but this year I think I’ll get smarter and get it all done from one place. InsuranceQuotesUS.com will find the best deal for my auto insurance saving me time to do the thing I like such as going for a drive in my car instead of hunting for an insurance quote!

Pre-approved

I thought I'll never see today coming. Its been 4 months since I applied and paid the deposit for the government's solar power rebate and finally I've been approved. Received the letter from the government confirming this so I can let the installer know so they can organise an installation date.

This is good news; I should be able to save a fair amount of money on my energy cost once the system is up and running. Lord knows I need it for all the computers and equipments running at home. Now I'm waiting for the installer to call.

Logo usb drive

One of the best ways of promoting your business is giving your customers freebies with your business logo on them. The Logo usb drive is guaranteed to be a success with your clients. Cheap but popular with people of all ages no one will refuse a gift like that. You can never have too many usb drives in the office! I’m just having trouble deciding which ones to go with.

Running out of space.

With the unusual weather pattern we've been having where it can be warm one week and freezing cold the next, my veggies are bolting! Not knowing to keep growing or not they've decided to go straight to flowering and setting seeds. So what I've end up is premature growth of Chinese cabbages and bok choy. Sick of it I decided to rip them all out yesterday and started planting tomatoes in their place. It's the season for tomatoes and there's plenty of varieties to choose from but I'm running out of space for them!

Kitchen appliances

The niece and nephew are moving into the house they’ve bought soon. They’re going to need a lot of stuff for the house like furniture and appliances. They can probably do without some of the less important furniture but some stuff would be quite needed. Most importantly they’re going to need essential stuff for the kitchen like appliances for the counter top, large appliances like the fridge and dishwasher and then there are other important items like pots and pans, cups and dishes. It’s an exciting time of their lives and they’re not quite sure where to start but I told them to check out some other assorted kitchen guides on the internet so they can get a fair idea how to get started in life.

That'll be me

We've been invited to have a buffet lunch at Docklands this afternoon. Cost is $25 per person and I heard it's very good value for money. Still its $25 per head and I'm starting to have second thought. I'm not sure if I want to go or not now but then again we've already accepted the invitation so I don't know.

Anyway we might just have a wonderful time if we went and it might just turn out to be a great day out. Worth the money we're going to pay and stop whinging about the money. That'll be me.

Business gifts

Some of my clients’ staffs are real gems. I lost track of how many times they’ve help me with doing business with them. So come this Christmas I must not forget to put them on Santa’s good list but the problem is deciding what to get them. I have to get something that’s appropriate but at the same time claimed as business expenses. That’s why business gifts from Charity Choice Donation are the best way to go about it.

Fingers crossed

Don't you just hate it when the brand new furniture you've just assembled had a nasty scratch visible enough to be seen from the moon?! Arrggghhh!!! That's what happened to me last night; bought a bedside table from IKEA and was really careful assembling it but when it was all done I noticed a really nasty scratch on the table top. I think I must have done it when I turned the table upside down to put on the wheels and inadvertently scratch it. So today I have to lie to my teeth to IKEA trying to get an exchange. Fingers crossed.

Moving companies San Francisco

My cousin is moving from New York to San Francisco next month for his new job. He wants to do the moving himself. Bad idea I told him! Is he kidding himself? Moving all his worldly possessions across the country all by himself? Get yourself a professional removal cousin, here I’ve found one for you; moving companies San Francisco. They’ll get the job done for you with peace of mind.

Spring has sprung

Spring is definitely here; the sun is shinning, the flowers are blooming, the air is warm with fragrances from the flowers and I can see my roses that I've pruned back in winter starting to shoot new growth fast.

I think this is my favourite time of the year but I do not look forward to summer. I do not look forward to the hot dry weather. My garden will suffer and worse still bush fire will return.

Time to dig out my tuxedo

Friends of ours are getting married, time to dig out that tuxedo of mine that I only wear once in a blue moon. Sometimes I wish my life was like James Bond’s so I’ll get more wear out of my formal wears. What a waste of money getting something that only get worn so infrequently and it usually has to be altered to suit since I’d have probably put on more weigh by then!

Starting small

It is also a good idea to get a small website done for your business so online customers can check you out first. The website would then be linked from the business listing sites. I would suggest a free but simple website to start with & later get a more elaborate one should you choose to. Google provides free websites & so do a lot of other places, I would suggest Google since most people use them so will most probably be able to find you. You just need a simple but effective website that provides your details to your customers so even a blog would suffice too. You can get a free blog from blogspot.com which is owned by Google.

Medical coding training courses

Well I have to take time off work again soon but at least the company will be paying for it. They’re sending me to do some medical coding training courses. Since I’m in charge of the company’s insurance claims I have to take these courses so I can do my job better. It’ll be a few months before I’ll be back at work so in the mean time my assistant will be doing my work. If you need any help do call her because I’ll be away.

A week to recuperate

Another weekend has past with tiring bones and muscles. Seriously I'm definitely getting old, can't even enjoy a weekend without tiring myself out. Saturday was the birthday and we all went to dinner followed by desserts at the Chan's. Sunday we went to the fashion expo and since we parked far away because we didn't want to pay for parking we had to do lots of walking. But it was a good day; we met many new people, exchanged business cards and checked out all the new trends and stuff. Now we need another week to recuperate.

Outdoor lighting

I love my backyard, it’s the one place I enjoy working during the weekend. I could spend all weekend digging till the sun goes down. I’ve planted roses, veggies and fruit trees. I’ve also built garden structures like pergolas where we can relax and enjoy the garden. My next project is to get some outdoor lighting so that the garden will look amazing after dark so we can enjoy the balmy summer nights coming.

Looking for a pattern maker

Pattern making is a dying trade, even though we are in the industry we don't really have much time to do pattern making. We're too busy with grading so sometimes we need to sub-contract pattern making to a third party. Unfortunately it is hard to find a good pattern maker, they're an endangered species.

So yes we're constantly looking for good pattern makers. We don't want to hire them but rather work with a freelance pattern maker. So if you're a pattern maker looking for work please let us know.

The upcoming event

With the upcoming fashion expo this spring we have been rather busy organizing the event from dawn till dusk. There are so many things to organize and the most important thing right now is crowd control. With visitors expected to be in the thousands for the 3 day event it is imperative that everything runs smoothly and steadily.

We had to hire quite a number of stanchions which are going to be mainly set up at the entrance and further into the great hall. This is to ensure traffic moves in an orderly manner through the expo. The best thing about these stanchions is they come with velvet rope and retractable belt that you can print your company names and logos on.

Barricades will also be set in the car parks to direct cars coming in and out of the ground. Its going to be a busy weekend but I think we can get through it with flying colors.

Time to do something with my life.

Done! The venue has been organised and booked for this Saturday and my wish list has been broadcast to all. Now all that's left to do is wait for Saturday when it's going to be my 44th birthday, sounds pretty old doesn't it? So what have I achieved in my 44 year existence on this planet? Not much at all; I don't contribute to society in a great way, all I do is take up room breath in air. Time to do something with my life.

Orlando vacations

I think I should take the opportunity to take the family down to Orlando for a short break before I start my new job in the coming month. Haven’t taken any time off for quite some times and the kids are getting cranky, not to mention the wife! Growing up I can still remember Dad taking us on one of these orlando vacations whenever he could. I should be more like my dad to my children.

No one wins

At last we're getting some response to our little strike. We've been refusing to do any work for this particular client of ours because they haven't been paying us regularly. Even when they've come up with a repayment plan themselves they weren't keeping up to their part of the bargain.

Well now that we've stopped their work the matter has been referred up higher to the CEO. I hope to resolve this problem quickly because no one wins in these sort of situation.

Colon cleaning

The weekend has been a weekend of indulgence. We ate out just about every meal of the day and we’ve been stuffing ourselves without giving a thought for what our bodies could endure. Live for the day and worry about the consequences later. I wouldn’t recommend it though; it’s a rather bad habit of ours. Right now we need colon cleaning to get rid of all the baddies we put in our bodies!

Spring is here?

It has been a rather warm winter this year. In fact even though we're still in august which is the last month of winter here it sure feels like spring already. We've been having warm sunny days for the last few weeks. Even up north they're experiencing temperatures in the low 30's!

Having said that, just when we thought winter is over we got a cold spell last night. I woke up in the middle of the night by the cold temperature and had to use a second blanket. Just goes to show that its not really spring till September comes.

HDTV

Television has come a long way since the days of black & white programs I used to watch while growing up. It has never been more exciting with the way television is heading; HDTV is the best thing to happen to television since color broadcast. The picture is crystal clear and audio is terrific. No more ghost images or snow anymore like in the old days. I love my television.

Not much fun getting old

I must be getting old. I remember years ago I was able to go out all weekend and still have plenty of energy on Monday morning for work. Now after going out on both Saturday and Sunday I was dead tired on Sunday night. Not that I did anything physically demanding, just hanging out at friend's house! Definitely a sign that my body is no longer what it was before. I'm going to have to slow down from now on. Not much fun getting old.

Colon cleanse reviews

I’ve heard so much of these colon cleansing programs that many people swear by them. They all recommend them to me but I’m still a little hesitating on whether to take it up. I think what I really like to do is read a bit more on the programs first before jumping into them. What I need is good unbiased colon cleanse reviews so I can make informed choices before committing.

I miss home cooked meals

I never thought I'd say this; I miss home cooked meals! This weekend we've been eating out just about every meal we had. Lunches and dinners were all eaten out so much so I'm sick of restaurant food now. Yesterday lunch was yumcha at Plume, dinner was at Taipan, Today's lunch was at Wheelers Hills Hotel and dinner at some Korean restaurant in Glen Waverley. I've had enough of eating out thank you very much. Gimme home cooked meals please.

GPS systems

Remember when every car on the street has a street directory in it? Nowadays street directories are on the decline, thanks to gps systems floating the market. Prices for these new gadgets are dropping like flies and the ease of use is making them a more attractive accessory to get for your car than the old heavy street directory. But I’m old school; I’ve yet to catch up with the rest of the modern world. Still using my 10 year old torn street directory!

Loose loose situation

I really don't know what to do with this client. They're owing me more and more now and its getting harder and harder for them to pay me. First they came up with a plan to pay me every week but after a couple of week they missed a few payments. Now they've cut their repayments in half. At the rate they're going it'll take forever for them to pay me off fully, if ever. Maybe I should think about suing them for all the unpaid invoices. But if I do that then I must be prepared to loose them as a long time client and go to court as well. And I might not get all the money back. Its a loose loose situation.

A good sale

I’m one who’s always on the lookout for a good sale. Very rarely do I buy anything retail, there’s always somewhere you can buy what you want cheaper. Therefore it always pays to shop around; check the prices in other stores, look for special offers, check the web for other vendors. You’ll be surprised what you can find so before you splurge out on that special item you want from the store, shop around.

Birthdays & anniversary

This Saturday is a big day for us; its our 16th wedding anniversary. But we've also accepted an invitation to celebrate a friend's birthday so we can't back out now. So instead we are going to have our little wedding anniversary celebration during lunchtime and go to our friend's birthday bash for dinner in the evening.

A week from Saturday is going to be my birthday and it will be my turn to invite our friends out for dinner. I have a place in mind where we can go but hasn't book the place yet. My friends will probably ask me what I want for my birthday, its hard..my list is too long!

Car accessories

I can still remember when I first got my Honda. It was my pride and joy and I loved it to bits. I would wash it frequently and wax it regularly. The interior was spotless and I even went to the point of not driving it when the weather was bad. Ahh..those were the days when your car is the only thing you care about in the world. Every weekend would be spent shopping for whatever cool car accessories I could find for it and money was never a factor.

The Terminator

I feel like a Terminator, hunting and destroying the earwigs that have been plaguing my veggie patch. Seems to be like millions of them when I first saw them in the cover of darkness, munching away the tender seedlings I've just planted barely a week ago.

The first night was a massacre, I think I killed the vast majority of them. They hide in the crevices of the timber frames and I had to flush them out with squirts of pyrethrum. Last night I went hunting again but this time the body count was less, much less.

LSAT prep

I’m thinking of going back to school. Can’t continue doing what I’m doing for the rest of my life, I’m thinking of studying law but I don’t have to give up work just to go back to school. Knewton LSAT prep can help me do that. I can do the study on my own pace from anywhere in the world which is handy since I travel a lot in my work. Yes, I’m definitely going back to school!

Keep looking

Wanting to get a cheap desktop PC without the monitor as well as the keyboard and mouse so I can hook it up to the LCD TV to act as a media machine. I have to wireless keyboard and mouse all-in-one that will make the experience more enjoyable.

So I've been looking everywhere for that special desktop PC but still haven't found it yet. It has to be sleek, slimline or compact and not a clunker like normal PC. There are some that I quite like but either its too expensive or the processing power isn't good enough. So I'll keep looking.

Walk in tubs

As we grow older or if we’re struck down with a disability that impairs our movement simple things we take for granted like getting in and out of the bath tub can be a chore not to mention dangerous. Thank goodness some bright sparks came up with walk in tubs that don’t require climbing into like the conventional bath tubs. All we need do is walk straight into it! It’s a great idea so I guess I have to keep this in mind for my future bathroom.

Starting over

The brocolini plants were just not what we thought they were going to be; they're bitter and fibrous so there's no point in keeping them in the veggie patch. So I ripped them all out and prepare the soil for some new veggies to go in their place.

But before I can put in the new plants I had to turn the soil over till it's loose and friable. Next I added 2 bags of cow manure, handfuls of blood & bones, lime and potash before mixing them all into the soil. Now the veggie patch is ready for new plants.

Weight loss pills

Looks like I’ve overdone it again; I ate too much and now I’ve ballooned again. Time to go on another diet again, seems like I’m forever going on diet. I really admire some people who never worry about putting on weight when they eat. Guess my metabolism is just not high like theirs; I’ll be needing some weight loss pills to help me through it. Good luck to me.

Fingers crossed

Well after a couple of months busy with work it looks like things are slowing down a bit. Which is not unusual since this business tends to be seasonal, we either get a feast or a famine, busy or quiet, never in between.

Then again the quiet times are the best times to test out the online ads I've been paying for. Let's see if they work or not, it would be a huge disappointment if they don't. Fingers crossed.

Diet pills

Many of my friends struggle to loose weigh including myself. Not that we are obese but we just like to live a healthy life and hopefully live a little longer life. The common sense approach to achieving a healthy lifestyle is good healthy food and regular exercises. But sometimes that is still not enough so diet pills help. I try not to be too dependent on pills so I always do my homework on them before deciding which are suitable for me and when I find one that works for me I stick to it.

Start again

Well it looks like the brocolini we planted is a flop. Took us over 2 months to grow them but we had a taste of it the other night and it tasted nothing like the ones we buy from the shop! We got ripped off. It had a bitter and peppery taste to it and very fibrous. Not like the familiar sweet and tender taste of the ones we get from the shop. I think its because of the variety we got from this particular grower. We tried one from Oasis and that one tasted good but not these ones. Guess we just have to rip them all out and start again.

New client

We had a new client yesterday. Its good to get new clients, you never know when one of your old clients might drop off the radar. So yes, its good to get a new client because we've been losing some old clients throughout the year. But most of the clients are small clients, not that I don't want them but a couple of big ones would be better. Small ones pay small but big ones pay more. Then again we cannot handle too big a client simply for the fact that we're not big enough to handle the workloads. So something in between would be just right.

Insurance quote

I know someone who drives a nice Honda Integra with no insurance. What a dumb idea. The car is worth a lot of money but she doesn’t even have insurance for it. What will she do if she gets into an accident? How would she pay for damages if it’s her fault? Worse still if someone was hurt? That’s the problem with young people nowadays, they don’t think. Go get an insurance quote now before you get into your car Vanessa!

Where could it be?

I'm just terrible. I'm always misplacing things around the house. Why can't I find the things I want around the house. I knew I put it somewhere safe but why can't I find it now? So frustrating, I've been searching high and low, rummaging through all the drawers and I still can't find it. I can't find my iPod!

The problem is I don't use my iPod that often so now that I have a need for it I can't find it. I'm such a dill. I've just downloaded a bunch of Nickelback albums but I can't listen to them because I misplaced my iPod. Where could it be?

Auto insurance quotes

We have two cars for many years and they were both insured with the same insurance company for years. Whenever the renewals come I just pay them and not bothered to compare the price with other companies. You can say I was a very loyal customer but loyalty gets you nowhere because I’ve since compared all my insurance quotes and you know what? I can save myself heaps of money if only I shop around! So for auto insurance quotes that save you money, make sure you shop around before paying your next renewal. Don’t do what I did, I was a sucker.

Bugger that!

So what d'ya know? So my brother does read my blogs, I never would've thought of that but I've just found out today that he does from time to time. So I guess I should be careful with what I write. But why should I censor myself? I should be able to write whatever I feel like since its my blog. Unfortunately things are never that simple.

So from now on I have to think before I write; is it too controversial? Will it offend people I know? Will it get me in deep trouble? Oh bugger that! I'm writing whatever I like okay?

Engagement rings

I must admit, when I proposed to Terese I didn’t get her a ring! I remember her saying she didn’t want one but we did get wedding rings for both of us together. So now after so many years of marriage she’s nagging me about her not getting her diamond ring! That’s why I’m checking out JewelryVortex.com where you can find engagement rings, wedding rings or any kind of rings you’re looking for they got it there.

Kudos to Aussies

Reality TVs. They're everywhere nowadays and growing in popularity by the months. First there's Survival, then The Amazing Race, Big Brother and now MasterChef. I'm not really a great fan of reality TV but I like Amazing Race and MasterChef.

MasterChef is the biggest thing in Australia at the moment. Though started by the British the Australian version is heaps better. They've changed the format of the show and now due to the success of Australian MasterChef they're selling the new format to European countries. Kudos to Aussies!

Outer Banks rentals

I love spending holidays by the sea, love the smell of the sea, the sound of the waves rushing onto the beach and the seagulls. Days spent in the warm sun and sands, surfing on the waves. It’s just my kind of holidays and I can’t wait for my next break so I’m busy looking for Outer Banks rentals at work now since that’s where we’re planning to go next.

Free meals

What a nice lunch we've just had, best of all it was free! Ivan's shout since he lost a bet to my MIL about getting a good price for her house. He thought it wouldn't fetch over $400K but it did better than that so being a man of his word he shouted us all to lunch. We went to Plume in Doncaster for Yumcha. So I made sure I ate a lot!

Last night we had a free meal also; a friend's birthday dinner at Templestowe Hotel. Been to that place a few times already but the food is getting from normal to boring now. Its time to look for another place to go next for my birthday next month.

Women shoes

I’ve always had trouble looking for shoes because of my feet size; they’re a little smaller than most people. So finding the right size for my feet can be agonizing sometimes when the smallest size they have is usually one size bigger than my feet so imagine my glee when I came across this store that stocks shoes of my size! They have all kinds of shoes there; women shoes, men shoes and even children shoes. Blessed shoe heaven!

Pleasant surprise maybe.

The weekend is finally here and we can all have a little rest before going back out there again to fight another week. So what's on this weekend? Well not a whole lot actually but maybe going to a birthday dinner on Saturday night at the Templestowe Hotel.

We have been to the Templestowe Hotel for lunch many times before but never for dinner. I don't think there would be much difference in the menu except for the price. Don't know, we might be pleasantly surprised maybe.

Home projects

Like most people nowadays I prefer to do my shopping online instead of trolling around town looking for those special tools I need for my home projects. The internet has revolutionized the way most of us shop. A search of a particular item on the search engines will easily enable the shoppers to find their products and one of the best places I do my shopping is at ShopWiki.com where I can find all the tools I need for my projects like circular saws and any other hardware for home improvement. And they even find the best available price saving me time shopping for the right price. Give ShopWiki a go and I’m sure you’ll thank me for it.

Sold

Yesterday my In-laws sold their house that they've been living in for the last 22 years. It was an auction sale and the buyer was willing to pay $430,000 for it. The house itself is old and run down but the buyer has alternative plan for the land; he's a developer who's going to sub-divide the property into 2 or 3 dwellings.

Seriously we didn't expect the auction would go that high but it did. But it did and at a really good price. The In-laws have already bought another property in Sunshine close to their son at $405,000 which means they have $25,000 of cash to spare. They're going to need to fix the new place with that money I supposed.

Kettlebell

I’ve always wanted to do more physical exercises but going to a gym is not an option. So working out at home is the only answer for me and there are a lot of ways I can work out in the privacy of my own home. One of the exercise programs I’ve come across and am quite interested in is the Kettlebell workouts. DVDs of the exercises and a free kettlebell is included in the package to kick start my new program. I can’t wait to start on it.

Happy new financial year!

Can't believe it has been a year since we took over this business and running it from home. So how has it been all these times? Well we had our fair shares of ups and downs but I think we just managed to get through alright.

I think next year will be better, even though we lost a few old customers we also gained a few new ones and with the online ads running we should be able to gain more customers in the future. Happy new financial year!

Undermount sink

I find normal kitchen sinks too small to work with sometimes, especially when you need to clean your pots and pans. I’d prefer an undermount sink because with its deep and wide basin I can do my dishes easier, including pots and pans. Furthermore it’s handy because you can dump a lot of stuff into it like when you’re washing food and stuff. Well that’s got to be on my top must have list of things.

Sick again

Damnit! I'm sick again. Just when I thought I've gotten over a mild cold, bang! The virus hit me again and this time its even worse. Started out with a bit of nasal infection, then sore throat, coughing and last night high temperature and body ache.

I gotta see a doctor today. Blardy not be swine flu but I won't be surprised since I live right in the middle of swine flu central! Just exactly how I catch a virus I wonder coz I don't mix with other people so often...hmmm.

Atrophex

There are so many fat burning dieting pills out there in the market and for some one like me to choose the right ones that suit me can be really daunting. I think the important thing to do here is to do lots and lots of research into each and everyone of them so that we can have make informed decisions on which ones best suit us. I’m currently looking into Atrophex which I think will best suit me. You should check it out too if you’ve never heard of it.

Being your own boss

Yesterday was a holiday; Queen's Birthday in Australia which means everyone in the country got the day off work, us also. Sort of. It was good because it was quiet and we managed to keep up with our work so we can start a new lot this week.

The thing with owning your own business is that you don't necessarily get your holiday just because everyone else does. We have to work when its busy and relax when its not so that's just part and parcel of being your own boss.

Poor fish

Poor thing, looks like another fish is on its way to fish heaven again. I found it upside down in the fishtank this morning. What its is with me and keeping fish? They just keep dying on me I should just get some plastic fish. Then I'll have nothing to worry about.

On another thing; I found the phone number on my business website is wrong by one digit. No wonder the phone hasn't been ringing. Stewpig me! Well its fixed now so hopefully the phone will start to ring.

Birth announcements

It’s hard to find a good card nowadays; I’m looking for a birth announcements card that is unique and special for a friend who’s expecting the birth of her child soon. We’ve been to the stationary shop and saw how unimpressive the cards there are so we’re still looking high and low for that special card. I just hope we find it before the baby pops!

OMGawd!

Ahhh! Swine flu is all around us! There are cases of this latest deadly disease in my neigboring suburbs and we're right smack bang in the middle of it. Now I'm too scared to go out for fear of catching the bug from strangers. Then again maybe I already have it since I've been coughing a lot with sore throat and all. OMGawd!

Computer memory

I remember years ago computer memory modules used to cost a bomb. It was a luxury few computer users could afford. Then the prices started tumbling down and everyone can afford to give their computers a boost in performance by upgrading the memory. In fact it is so cheap that I’d always maximize the memory to its full capacity. Why not? It’s too cheap!

Self medicate

Damn! Must be the sushi I had for lunch that's giving me a gut ache. Then again I've been getting gut aches quite frequently lately due to gawd knows what? Everyone could be eating the same thing and yet I would be the only one with gut ache. It must be just me, I need to see a doctor I think but I hate going to the doctor's. In fact I don't like doctors so I usually self medicate!

Elliptical

Having gained quite a consideration weigh I thought I’d better hit the gym. Unfortunately I’m one of those people who are too lazy to go to the gym so it will be a costly exercise for me if I sign up. The alternative is to have my own gym at home. Yes I think I can turn one of my spare rooms into a gym, all I need is to buy a couple of exercise machines like an elliptical and treadmill. Brilliant!

Need to fill up

The weather has been exceptionally warm for this time of the year. We're nearing the end of May and winter is just around the corner and yet we're having 22C days. Not that I'm complaining about it, the warm weather is nice and all but it has been too dry for my liking. We need a bit of rain would be nice. I need to fill up my water supply.

HGH

We can all do with a bit of help when it comes to our health and looking good. That’s why more and more people are taking up HGH supplements nowadays to make themselves feel younger. Some even resort to taking synthetic HGH injections which isn’t a safe way of going about it. We should do our homework before deciding on the best HGH supplements to suit us to prevent any complication down the track.

Great weekend.

Its Monday again, the weekend went past so quickly. Not entirely a mundane weekend though, we did get to do a couple of things. On Saturday we went to a friend's house for dinner with her family and a movie in their home theatre. Didn't get home till 1 am and that's rare for me now.

Then on Sunday Terese's sister came to visit with her 2 children. It's good to see them again and the kids are just as adorable as before. We went to lunch down the street and came back home for a kiddie movie before they went home around 4 pm. That's the end of the great weekend.

Sales Training

The thing with your own business is that you have to be everyone yourself like the administrator, accountant and sales person. You need to know a bit of everything just to run your business properly. Now most of these skills I supposed you could learn as you go but sales training is very important because your profit margin depends on how well you market your products.

So do I go or chicken out?

I was mucking around on the internet last week when I entered myself in the TV game show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. In the application I got to play a little game online but I think I didn't do so well so I didn't think much of my chances. Little did I know I got accepted to a second audition for the show next week! So do I go or chicken out?

Lipofuze reviews

I’m always happy to try anything new at least once. Who knows, just because it’s new doesn’t mean it hasn’t been proven to work. It might just be the one that works for me, not all things work for everyone but when I find things that work for me I’ll stick to them. So that’s why I’m willing to give this new product a go after reading the Lipofuze reviews. I think it just might be the one for me.

Wiating for customers

Finally the business website is done and online. After a couple of months since I contacted Bryan about it its finally done. I must say Bryan did a good job, the main ideas coming from me. I wouldn't have a clue how to build the web pages but Bryan basically did what I told him to do. Now I'm just waiting for customers.

Maternity Clothes

Having a baby is the best and most rewarding thing in the world but it also mean you'd have to make some wardrobe adjustment for at least 9 months. It doesn't necessarily mean you have to be in rags for the term of the pregnancy, you can still look good in maternity clothes from DueMaternity.com where you can find all the clothes you need to get you through the pregnancy.

Ad campaign

To help with the ailing business I've started an online ad campaign. I've listed the business in many online business directories like AussieWeb or Dlook. They all claim to be free but once you've signed up with them they start calling you up trying to sign you up as a paid customer. I've signed up as a paid customer with Dlook just to test it out for 6 months to see if it will help generate any leads. But the best result actually comes from AdWords where I've already have 1 lead.

Ma huang

There’re always new phrases or words to learn everyday like just the other day I came across a phrase ma huang which I have no clue of what it is supposed to be in English. But somehow it sounds very familiar to me in my native tongue meaning troublesome or nuisance. So I’m guessing anyone can use any language they like on the internet and no one’s going to stop you!

Gale force wind

Weather wise it is going to be a crappy day today. Gale force wind but little rain is not what my garden needs. The wind will cause the most damages since it willbreak and smash all the plants around. Woke up this morning to find the plastic sheet protecting the veggie patch was flapping in the wind and it has also flatten a few seedlings. I hope they'll be okay.

Colon cleanser reviews

People are more health conscious nowadays than the previous generations. We eat better, look after ourselves better and generally take better care of ourselves. One of the things we can do for our health is colon cleansing and detox. There are a lot of products on the market that claim to do just that but many are just out to make a quick buck due to the popularity of colon cleansing. What we need are unbiased colon cleanser reviews so we can make informed decisions on what are best suited for us. Different methods might suit different people.

All's done now

I woke up this morning with aches all over my body due to the back breaking work I had to do yesterday. I ordered 1 and a half cubic meter of top premium soil for the veggie patch from the local nursery supplier. The soil was dump on my driveway so I had to cart the lot into the backyard with buckets! Don't know how many bucketload I had to cart in but it took forever. Lucky for me Terese helped shovel the soil into the buckets while I brought them in. All's done now.

San Diego California hotel

One of the places in America that we’d love to visit is California. Terese has her relations still there, aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews I think. Though we keep in touch through the internet its not the same as seeing each other face to face. Like most Asian families we’d be asked to stay with them when we visit but I think its better to find ourselves accommodation like the San Diego California hotel which is very near where the families are.

Good news

Terese just called, she's been out seeing a potential client in Brunswick East. They've given her a style to try out first and I think this is a highly potential future client. They make lingerie and get their works done mainly in China so they've asked us to grade and create markers for them to take to China. This is good news indeed.

Ferrari parts

One of my dream cars has got to be a Ferrari. If I start saving my pennies now perhaps I will be able to afford to buy an old second-hand one when I retire! It’s a good time to get it since I would have plenty of time to spend restoring it in my garage fixing it up and replacing faulty parts with genuine Ferrari parts to its original glory. I’m dreaming aren’t I?

Kudos to her

I was walking behind a woman who wore a short summer dress. All of a sudden a gush of wind blew her skirt up to reveal her underwear right in front of me! I can tell you she wasn't wearing G-string but a BIG polka dot undies big enough to cover her big asset! Too bad I didn't have my camera with me but you know what? She wasn't bothered about it at all..kudos to her.

Do diet pills work?

Losing weigh is a multi million dollar industry and all around the world millions of people struggle to loose that excess weigh that they don’t want. People will do just about anything to achieve that figure they want like exercise, diet pills and surgery. Take diet pills first; do diet pills work in the way the manufacturers claim they do? And if they do then why do people keep taking them? You shouldn’t have to keep taking them just to maintain your figure. There has to be a better way.

Easter break is over

Well the long Easter weekend went as quick as it came. Just a blink of an eye the 4 day break is over...and I didn't even get to do anything! Actually I did get to finish my little project that went on for 14 months but after that its just doing some chores around the house and not much else.

Yesterday we did managed to go into town and met up with some relations for lunch. Apart from that its a pretty quiet break which in itself is actually quite good, or maybe not.

Diet pill

A long time friend of mine has always had problems with his weigh. He’s always been trying to loose some weigh for the sake of his health but for some people losing weigh is just too hard. It doesn’t matter how he diet, how he exercise, nothing seems to work. He’s at a stage where he’s thinking of taking diet pill but I stress to him that he better do his homework first, never like the idea of popping a pill to solve your problem.

Interest's down

Whoopie! The interest rate has fallen again to just 3% from 3.25% yesterday. But if you think this is going to save you some money on your mortgage you are sadly mistaken because the major banks have no intention of passing on the savings to you!

Bastards! Only one of the major banks has decided to pass 0.01% to the borrowers and the rest nada. Blood suckers the banks are, if I had a choice I'll hide my money under my bed. I'll be safer that way.

UGG boots

Probably it started as footwear for warmth and comfort in the cold months but looks like it has turned into a fashion statement. I’m talking about UGG boots of course, they’re not very glamorous, in fact quite ugly thus the name UGG but seems that they’re gaining popularity across the globe. Nowadays almost every woman must have at least a pair of the ugly UGG boots in their shoe collection. Have you got yours yet?

Seminar tonight

I'm going to a seminar tonight. I'm not really looking forward to it but I feel that I should go for the simple reason that it might help me with our business. Since the business isn't doing well at the moment I feel I should at least give this seminar a go.

I hope its not one of those feel good seminars or those trying to get you to part with your hard earned money. Better not or I'll be out of there the minute I smell a rat!

CAD Drawings

Another good reason for me to get a new and better PC is that I’ll be needing to run some serious CAD programs with the new PC. Therefore it has to be powerful enough to handle some serious cad drawings. A good monitor and a great video card are essential plus enough RAM and CPU power are all needed in the new system. Spare no expense!

My PC is dying

Just my luck, my desktop PC is dying on me. Well it has been enduring my use and abuse for so many years now so its only fair that it can finally rest in peace. Now I'm looking around for a replacement. Been looking at Dell's PC since I'm quite happy with the notebook I bought from them.

I think I'll just get a bare minimum PC and add in whatever I want later because its cheaper to get the parts later than from Dell. Next is the matter of paying for it, I think I'll use my stimulus cheque that I'll be getting from Uncle Kev to pay for it.

Automotive lifts

Living in the city can have its advantages and disadvantages. One of the disadvantages is parking; there are just not enough of them for everyone. If you’re one of those people lucky enough to own two cars then you’re in even worse situation unless you get yourself one of those automotive lifts that allow you to literally stack one car above the other. Parking problem solved!

A little extra

When my neighbor Adam moved to London he left me some of his stuff from his garage like his gardening products. Some of these products are liquid & granule fertilizers. I've been meaning to use them but never got around to doing it until now.

This morning I decided to pop open the liquid feed he gave me & to my surprise it was never open! So this morning instead of getting the usual watering all my plants got a little extra in the water and I still have half of it left.

Jillian Michaels workouts

With summer over and the weather getting cooler day by day one can get slack and put on some extra kilos especially if you don’t get out and about during the cooler months. One should always make an effort to keep fit irrespective of the weather; we can always achieve this by keeping active indoor when the weather is not too kind. Do some simple exercises like the Jillian Michaels workouts would be perfect and we can all do it at our pwn pace. So lets get on it.

A beautiful day

Not so long ago we define a beautiful day as a sunny day, blue sky, no rain and ambient temperature. Nowadays the definition of a beautiful day should be an overcast day with constant rain! Funny how a long drought can do that to you where you look forward to rainy days rather than sunny days.

And that's what we all got for the last couple of days with good rainfall all over the states. It even rained on the day of the concerts held for the the bushfire relief but there was no one complaining. Bring on the rain.

Immigration lawyers

This country is made up of people from all over the world and that’s what makes it great. Since the days of our forefathers people’s been coming here to give a better life for their children and it continues to be the norm today. Just about in every community I know needs immigration lawyers in their areas to help the new arrivals and I’m glad I can do my part as well for the communities.
