This is Mirvac Yarra's Edge, a stretch of prime real estate in the Docklands on Melbourne's waterfront. There are plans to build several residential buildings here but only five have been built so far.
This is the first building, Yarra's Edge 1. If you look carefully as you drive past it you can see the glass swimming pool on one of the lower floors. This is Yarra's Edge 2, a smaller building but it looks like it's built with lego blocks.
Next is Yarra's Edge 3, it has that torpedo shape to reduce the gale wind blowing from the bay.
Yarra's Edge 4 is shaped like a ship, I like this one best.
The fifth one is Yarra's Edge 5 which was supposed to look gold in colour but it turns out brown! All the chinese buyers want their money back!
All these five buildings have a spectacular view of the city and parking bays for tenants' yachts.
You can also see the Bolte Bridge from here and the bay beyond it.
On the surrounding areas there are still not many shops open yet and the grounds are still being built. When it's finish, I'm sure it'll attract a lot of people to the area. If you have the dough, you should definitely live here!
