I've just finished pruning my roses this year, only took me a whole month! Blame it on bad weathers and other commitments (no blame it on my laziness). Well at least it's done so I can get on with feeding them. This year I'm trying out a new type of fertiliser for my roses, it's called Sudden Impact by Neutrog. (Funny name, sounds like an action movie.)
This fertiliser is relatively new to the market, it was launch in August 2001 and has gain fast popularity amongst rosarians everywhere. Made by Neutrog the company that specialises in organic fertilisers, Sudden Impact is organic based and it has the stamps of approval from the Rose Societies of South Australia, Victoria as well as New South Wales.
It comes with a measuring cup so you can give your roses the recommended dose of 100gms per rose bush and 15gms per 150 mm size potted roses follows by 5g per 25 mm pot size increases. I just spread them liberally around the bushes, no need to be exact!
It has a NPK ratio of 9:4:12 plus trace elements, good high potassium level meaning better blooms! It does have a slight odour after application that would last a couple of days but it's not as bad as dynamic lifter which is too unbearable! Neutrog recommends applying once in Spring, Summer and Autumn. I'll keep it up this year to see if it's better than Roses' Food that did really well for my roses last few years. So we'll wait and see!
