I was walking along Orchard Road in Singapore window shopping here and there when something caught my eyes...
Are you Che Che[h]? No I'm not but I do know who she is, she lives in KL and she's my blogger friend even though we've never met.
In love with Che Che[h]? You betcha! But I was heart broken when she stood me up that night...hehehe, I enjoy rubbing it in!
Che Che[h] didn't tell me she owns an international chain of retail shops based in New York and now she has a branch in Singapore as well.
Che Che[h] owns a handbag shop! She sells nothing but handbags!
Che Che[h] is so damn cute hor!

Resourceful
When I was in Singapore it was raining almost everyday. Most inconvenient if you want to go out not just for myself but for anyone who needs to be out and about.
But I saw this Ahpek very resourceful making a hat out of a cardboard packaging! Got plastic summore to keep the cardboard from getting soaked in the rain. All you have to do is cut a hole in the middle so it fits your head snugly.
So we can all learn a thing or two from this old timer, don't waste money on expensive stuffs. Be resourceful and use what's around you and you're sure to come up with something!

More Camwhoring In Singapore
Didn't know some people actually like the Merlion posting I did yesterday. I guess you just like to see me shamelessly camwhoring so since you like it so much, I'll give you more!
Here's me trying to figure out what is so interesting down the river, maybe there's naked SYTs frolicking in the water? No such luck...
Getting to know the locals and joined in their conversation. The Mat Salleh said they're here to rule us coloured people, the Malay guy asked; "Do we have a choice?" And the Chinaman said; "As long as I can have my share of the riches to be made here I'm happy!" I just nodded my head agreeably.
I also did some hard yakka with the kuli there. Wuah! So hard work can die lidis! But someone's gotta get the economy going. The country is built on sweat and blood of the common kuli, not the white ruler nor the greedy businessmen.
Mine's bigger than Kenny Sia's dickonosaurus. I call mine the Cannonsaurus and it's much much bigger and nicer for longer, lasting fun! Guys, don't get jeles hor! Girls, settle down please...
Save the last for Titoki, thanks for the private camwhoring the other night. This is for you! Now you can also print it out and hang it on your wall! Camwhores unite!

Merlion For The Day
We had the weekend to kill before flying back to Melbourne so the next day with nothing much planned we decided to walk the city and do the tourist thing. From our hotel at Bugis we found our way to Merlion Park.
Here all tourists come to see the famous Merlion, the lion head with fish body creature Singapore is so famous for. There were a lot of tourists there and everyone's busy camwhoring with the Merlion.
There is a smaller version of the Merlion there as well just in case the big one is too scary for you! I call this the baby Merlion but it's just a scaled down version of the big papa Merlion.
I was busting to take a leak but couldn't find a toilet so I decided to do it there and then! Well, no one came to tell me off so I guess it was alright. See, people went about their own business totally ignoring me peeing!
But the baby Merlion saw me doing that and spat on my face for being naughty! There's a punishment for me for my indecent act and it's not a fine or a lashing of the whip but...
...my punishment was to stand in for papa Merlion for the day spitting water out of my mouth! So boys and girls, when you're in a different country respect the laws of the land and don't be a dill like me. Singapore is a fine city!

Back Where We Started
The time has finally come. Time to leave Malaysia and head back down to Singapore for the weekend before flying back to Melbourne. A little bit sad about leaving but gotta get back to my life...
Somebody kick me next time I opt for early morning flight! We booked the first flight to JB so had to get up like bloody 4 am to get to LCCT on time to catch the RM5 AirAsia flight. (plus RM40 tax lah!)
Because of my bad experience with that crazy driver before we decided to catch a taxi from JB airport to Rochor in Singapore. Aitelyu that woman behind the counter at the airport has the most sour face I've ever seen just because I spoke English to her! She basically threw the price list to me and not utter a word until I spoke Malay to her the 2nd time. Oi! Ini bukan Visit Malaysia 2007 meh? Why the sour face? I'm a tourist so show some courtesy, you are after all an ambassador of Malaysia if you're in the tourism industry!
We booked our hotel at Hotel 81 in Bugis. The room was quite nice, almost clinical! Modern and clean but clinical like a hospital! But you know what? The shower head was leaking and I had to complain to get it fixed!
We got a TV with a DVD player, a cup of instant noodle which comes in handy in the middle of the night. A can of green tea, a bottle of water and a sachet of Milo if I haven't forgotten. I ate them all so they had to replenish the next day!
They had huge tinted window in the en suite which gives an eerie cold light during the day. They don't have a separate shower cubicle so after showers the whole bathroom will be wet!
Big wide tinted windows in the room as well so we can have a view but too bad the hotel sign was just outside! Lucky they don't turn it on but at night it's like some sleazy cheap hotel from the movies!

Camwhores Of The Blogosphere Unite!
My last night in KL was the most memorable, I got to spend it over dinner at iDragon at 1 Utama with people I've never met before! I thought it was going to be a small gathering of bloggers I know like Jomel and some of her friends...
...but as it turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise. 10 people turned up at the blog meet and I only knew half of them before that night! The ones I knew were Jomel, King's Wife, Titoki, 9393 and Sengkor. The ones I got to know that night were Kyels, Julee, Ian, Jonzz and Zero Impact.
After dinner we just had to camwhore so here's one of Titoki, Jomel and I. I felt like a hamsup lou in a sleazy nightclub with 2 beautiful GROs. All that's missing is my pot belly. Camwhores of the blogosphere unite!
See no evil, hear no evil and say no evil.
Titoki: Hmmm...Nrggghhh...Brrgghh...
Jomel: Who turn off the light?
Wuching: Huh?
Then we roped in King's Wife and Sengkor who were too shy to show their faces so Titoki made them grow antennas from their heads!
Later Titoki gave me a private camwhoring. I was so privileged I could cry. This one I printed out and hung it on my wall! *Muaks*
9393 is as cool as James Bond while Jomel was so busy on the phone with her girls at home and the stock market. Sell! Sell! Buy! Buy!

The Toilet At Sunway Pyramid
I don't know why but I tend to write about toilets a lot of time. Here's another one worth mentioning.
This is so far the best toilet I've been in KL and it's located at Sunway Pyramid. Can't remember which floor it's on but I'm sure most of you would know.
I've heard of nicer toilets elsewhere in KL like at KLCC but I haven't been there so this would have to be the best I've been to. Very clean, dry, modern and well maintained.
The vanity units are organized in a circular shape that makes the place looks like a hair salon!
And most importantly no smell, spilled stains on the floor and no pubes on the urinals!

First Blogger I Met Sibeh Bohliau Meme
5Xmom forced me to do this meme. She said if I don't do it she'll cut my balls off! Well maybe not in those words but I have to do it even though she didn't tag me on her meme post. You say die onot? So I better do it coz I don't want to be an eunuch!
This meme is called The First Blogger I Met sibeh bohliau Meme. Just answer 5 questions below;
1) Who is the first blogger you meet?
The very first blogger I met was Alex from jienster.com but it wasn't even a planned blog meet. Alex is studying in Melbourne and when he went back to Sibu one year he offered to get me a DVD which I accepted. So my meeting with him was actually to pick up the DVD but we did meet up again twice after, once when we had lunch at Baba House in Melbourne and the last one when we had lunch in Sibu.
2) Who is the ‘Most wanted to meet blogger?’ for you?
The most wanted to meet blogger for me is 5Xmom! So close yet so far. I went all the way to Malaysia and met so many other bloggers but still didn't get to meet her coz my itinerary didn't include Penang. I was hoping she would come and meet me half way in KL but she didn't! She's such a teaser can die!
3) Who is the ‘I can meet, want to meet but somehow never got to meet’ blogger?
I can probably meet any blogger from Melbourne coz I really want to meet new bloggers from Melbourne but somehow I never get much opportunity to meet Melbourne bloggers because I don't know many bloggers in Melbourne. So if you're a Melbourne bloggers and would like to meet up, let's do it!
4) Who are the group of bloggers you most wanted to meet?
Aiya what lah? I like to meet any group of bloggers leh, there's no preference for me lah. As long as you're a blogger I like to meet you liao but group meetings be even more fun like orgy lidat...so sexciting hor!
5) Do you have any bloggers/blog readers that you wish to meet right now?
Right now ah? No one in particular coz like I said before not many bloggers in Melbourne I know wan lah but if I were in Malaysia, so many but not enough time to meet everyone!
OK...time to tag 5 other poor buggers and they are;
Tawny Roberts
Jenna Jameson
Jesse Jane
Racquel Darrian
Tabitha Steven

Not Too Late For Christmas Lights?
I was supposed to meet up with Che-cheh for steamboat after we came back from Malacca that evening but unfortunately I got stood up by her! :-(
Che-cheh rang me up and said she was very busy at work and that she had to stay behind to finish her work. Poor Che-cheh...she had to cancel our date and I was sooo.. heart broken!
Nonetheless I recovered and we went to Sunway Pyramid where I was told that the Christmas lights were still on even though Christmas' been and gone. I'm glad we went there coz it was the best Christmas light display I've seen thus far.
The whole place was decorated with colorful lights and I particularly like the lights at the entrance to the hotel (I think) with the 2 elephants on the sides. Makes the entrance looks really grand!
I had a great time taking photos of the place, running around with my camera with the tripod attached to it. Totally ignoring the people looking at me like I'm so kiasu!
The whole street was lit up with Christmas lights. If you were there you would agree with me that it was quite a marvelous display of Christmas lights. If you weren't there, suffer!
I wanted to take a picture of the giant lion but then I'd have to be on the other side of the road so I just took a close up one which I quite like also. Sunway Pyramid is a great place to go but like most places I've been so far in KL, I could only do a quick visit. Will come back again if I ever come back to KL.
OK. Since it's Chinese New Year and in the spirit of it I'm going to embarrass myself by camwhoring like a overgrown kid! Peek 'a' Boo...where's Wuching?

A Brief Tour Of Malacca
Hehe..I've just realized I spelled Malacca wrong in my previous post! Never mind...let's just get on with today's post which is a brief tour of Malacca after the Hainanese Chicken Rice we had for lunch.
Yes like I said before, Malacca is such a tourist town with lots of history to the place so it was a good idea to maintain the historical buildings in good orders for the tourists to enjoy like this famous church built in 1753.
Being a tourist area you can get hassled by the local peddlers to buy souvenirs or ride in their colorfully decorated tricycles or abang beca as they're locally known. I used to ride on them with my grandma when I was little but I won't be tempted to do it again! Only foreigners would be amused to give them a go.
When you are in Malacca you must go visit the old church or was it the old fortress on top of the hill. This place is the highest point in the area and the views from up here is quite spectacular.
There's a lot of museums in town and if I were to visit everyone of them, I'd probably need a few days to visit them all. We did however went into this replica tall ship which is a maritime museum but there wasn't much to see inside.
Late in the afternoon we had enough and wanted to go back to KL, we passed by this artificial waterfall by the roadside which I think it's rather cool! It certainly is better than some of the museums in town!
Goodbye Malacca! I'm glad I've visited you but don't know when or if I'll ever come back again. We had to get back to KL coz Che-cheh wanted to take us out to dinner in Puchong...can hardly wait to meet her!

Going South To Malaka
Chinese New Year is officially over for me. That's how exciting it is with Chinese New Year in Australia. Tomorrow is a normal working day and everything festive is blown away with the firecrackers.
So while most people are still enjoying the festive season I'll continue to post on my Malaysian trip. We continue with Day 2 in KL when my brother decided to take a short trip down south to Malaka.
I used to wonder why West Malaysians like to complain so much about the tolls but after 2 days in KL I also tulan ledi! Everywhere you want to go also kena tolled and there's just no getting around it!
We thought the journey might take an hour and a half but because of less traffic we were able to get to Malaka in just over an hour. This was the first time I've ever set foot on Malaka, I've read about it throughout my school days but never had a chance to visit it until today.
I like Malaka, it's a small town but very touristy. It's also quite clean, well as least the places I went to were quite clean. Quite a contrast from the dirty Petaling Street in KL!
Malaka is full of history, every kids in Malaysia would've studied about Malaka from the earliest days when it was founded by some prince from Singapore or was it Sumatra? Through the foreign occupations by the Dutch, British and Japanese up till the present days.
When we arrived it was time for lunch and my brother told us about this kopitiam that serves the best Hainanese Chicken Rice in town which we must try! I'm sure most people would know where this kopitiam is.
And my brother was right, it does serve the best Hainanese Chicken Rice in Malaka and what's unique about them also is that they rolled the rice into tiny balls which I found it quite odd coz I cannot find a reason why they need to do that. Never mind, just as long as they wash their hands before they roll them!
