The Whittlesea Country Music Festival is happening this weekend at Whittlesea and they've organised a Line Dancing in the city to promote the festival hoping for more people to come up to Whittlesea this weekend.
A few local country singers have come down to help encourage people to join in the Dance like Travis Sinclair. They're hoping to break a world record for the biggest line dancing or something like that. Final count was 468, a world record!
Anybody and everybody can register there to join in the fun. EK and her group of friends are also here today to get the party started. I've never met her before so I don't know who or where she is among the crowd of line dancers!
Looks like most people came prepared with their cowboy hats and their dancing boots. Eventually they were joined by more people from the passer-bys. Even if you've never done line dancing before you can pick it up straight away coz they teach you a few basic steps and you're line dancing already!
Me and my cameras is a definite giveaway in the crowd when EK spotted me on the stage filming the dancing. She came over to say hello and we greeted each other, shook hands and camwhore of course!
And here's the rest of her gang, the "LiveLoveLiberty". I think EK is the only Malaysian while the rest of them except the Australian lady are from Hong Kong. But they're all from different line dancing clubs across Melbourne.
Giddy up, girls! These ladies sure can line dance, so put on your cowboy hats and strap on your boots and join them for a session of good 'o' line dancing! Yeehaa! Watch the video below to check out their moves!

Giddy up Cowboy!
Now you make me wanna fly to Melbourne!

I bet they were all thinking what you were doing there, filming them instead of joining them :)
Why you didn't join them dancing?
Cool, i like this post and i think u look very cowman in the hat hahahahhahahaahahahahah
Wah, looks like lots of fun... Do we have line dance here in M'sia? Maybe using keris or something wahaha...
did u join in the dancing? would hv been nice, i'm sure.
WuChing, thanks for comin' along to the event despite the heat.... we got roasted that afternoon, all of us! It was a pretty good size crowd altho' we were disappointed with the lack of support from other Melb. clubs. Still, in the end, we came to do what we enjoy and thats to bootscoot and yee-haa! That dance in the video is not a true reflection of what linedancing really is nowadays...it was a simple routine (VERY repetitive!)in order to rope in the public to participate too. We have lotsa chacha, latin and waltzes. I agree with yr readers...you should have danced alongside us seeing as u already came prepared with such a spunky hat!
Simple American, thanks for the compliment....'cute' is surely a word I sorely miss now that i am on the threshold of slipping into the seniors bracket!
Neo, linedance is a BIG thing in Malaysia amd S'pore.....give it a go! Its great for people of all kinds of age and size and best of all, its FUN!
