I saw this tree yesterday outside someone's house and I think it's pretty. Don't know what tree it is but it is in full bloom now. If you know what this tree is please let me know ya.
I like trees that bloom to add a splash of color into the gardens. If I had a big backyard I would definitely plant some flowering trees like this or any other flowering trees as long as they bloom!

My MIL said.. may be a flowering crabapple tree .. or a japanese quince.
yeah, especially the red color flowers all over the tree.. hehe.. really nice !
WuChing, I saw this tree too!! What a coincidence! Was it in Victoria St? I think its a 'crepe myrtle'....if u look up Gardening Australia, a show by ABC tv, u will see an image of it and u can compare.A clearer picture of the tree can be found if u go to wikipedia. It is a captivating tree indeed. Was hard to keep my eyes on the road when i first saw it! BTW did u go to the Richmond CNY street party? Next Sunday its Footscray's turn and then Springvale next. Happy New Year!
