Don't know what the cause of death is, I checked the water and the pH was good, water hardness was okay and the nitrogen level was at safe level too. So what killed it? My only other suspicion is it choked to death! I found it trying to swallow a whole ball of fish food the other day, it was smaller than the others so the food pellets were maybe too big for it to swallow but it did managed to eat them all. Maybe this time it finally got choked to death!

First to die
Someone has to be first...to die! And that someone was this little fishy here found dead this morning by myself floating on the surface of the water. We bought 11 new fish for the fish tank about 3 weeks ago I think and now one has died.

Do you keep tropical fish too? I just started an aqaurium, and in the first two months 6 of 8 have died. Very strage. I have wriiten about it on my blog The Shelf but no one was able to help
