I've been writing paid posts on this blog for about 4 months now and I must say that if you wanna commit blog suicide then writing paid posts is the way to go! Before I started writing paid posts on this blog it had a PR5. Later Google revised it's page ranking system and the PR dropped to PR4 but today I found that its dropped even further to PR3!
So if you wanna kill your blog then write more paid posts. The readers left with the exception of loyal fansees. *Muaks* Also because I'm paying more attention to my new blog I tend to neglect this old blog a bit and that also drove readers away and with less traffic of course PR also drop lor! But look on the bright side of thing, I've made some money from writing paid posts so that kinda balance things out a bit. Dunno how low this blog's PR is gonna go down but whatever happen I'm still going to continue writing paid posts here coz I'm greedy! I mean what good is a blog when it doesn't make money for me? Dun care about fame, I just want greens! $DING$ $DING$ $DING$
No internet connection again! Long story but this is intentional coz I cancelled my existing internet service and applying for ADSL2+ with another service provider. But for reasons I don't wanna go into detail right now, I can't get the new ADSL2+ working yet so I have to access the internet using Dial-up connection.
Back to old school with 56K speed! Problem is dial-ups are so dodgy, they slow down to a halt or disconnect after a few minutes so I can forget about reading your blogs this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to get my ADSL2+ installed sometimes next week so I can surf at 24 Mbps! In the meantime I just have to slog it out on the narrowband.
On another thing, my kiamsiap boss was pissed off with the internet bill at work coz we were on the lowest plan which will incurr excess fee if we go over the limit which we always do. So to avoid that he decided to change to another plan which is double what we paid before but we won't incurr excess fee anymore so I'm gonna be blogging and downloading to the max! We'll never be able to use up the 12 GB allowance we get every month, what a pity I could use it to download some porns!
Psst, you been to my new blog Wuching.com yet?It's been 48 hours since I purchased my own domain name and webhosting and 24 hours since Wuching.com has been up and running and I've sort of calmed down since the high and grounded.
Now I get to recollect my thoughts and came to realization of WHAT HAVE I DONE??? Why did I go and do such a silly thing? Now good lah I have to work twice as hard. It was hard maintaining 1 blog but now I have to maintain 2! Die lah! Yes I could just concentrate on the new blog and leave this old blog to rot but this old blog has been good to me, is where I've poured my years of sweat and blood and where I get paid by PPP so I still have to maintain it and not forgetting the readers like you who made it happened for me so how can I just drop it right? So bo pien, suffer in my jock! Now go read my other blog.
It's been just over a month since I've came over to the dark side of the blog i.e. write paid posts lah and I'm loving it so far. However seems like PPP is very strict on their rules on how and what we can post not mentioning confusing sometimes. But who am I to argue with them, never bite the hand that feeds you, my mama told me so I'll just do whatever they tell me to do so my posts won't get rejected and thus I get paid! I'm sure a lot of you who are with PPP have similar stories to tell but we'll leave that for our next blogger meet if there is one for me! Till then happy blogging!
Its been 3 weeks since I've come over to the dark side and write posts for money. Since then I've been putting more advertisements on my blog mainly Google Adsense which by the way is painfully slow in generating any money for me and I would shamefully say that after all these time I've yet to receive any money from them! Possibly because I didn't care to utilise the ads strategically to my advantage. I've since revamped the whole template of my blog and I think they're placed in the right places now. I did see a significant difference in my adsense income after that but still the money is just trickling in. Some of you suggested I go with Nuffnang but they're only interested in bloggers residing in Malaysia so bad luck for me. Then I decided to give Advertlets a go because they didn't mention about where I reside. Still my blog's association with them is still in its infancy so its a bit early to say what might happen. I am also giving Text Link Ads a go but so far no one wants to advertise in my blog yet!
So I guess the best money spinner with my blog has to be writing paid posts. I've signed up with 3 companies namely PayPerPost, Smorty and BloggerWave. PayPerPost is by far the best paidpost site so far because they have the most opps available to us posties. Second will have to be Smorty which is relatively new to us but they will pay faster than PayPerPost which takes 30 days to get paid! Smorty pays every week so you get your money quicker and today I just got paid by them! Woohoo! This is the first time I've ever received any monetary reward from my blog and this just fuels my LOVE for money even more! Though it was just a small amount of money it means I can safely say to people that I'm not wasting my time blogging everyday now! In another week I should have a steady stream of income coming into my paypal account from PayPerPost for all those posts I've done for them so woohoo again! Lastly I don't know why but I've only received 2 opps from Bloggerwave and I don't even know when or if I'll ever get paid for them even though they have been approved. I have not received any more opps from them since!A good friend of mine who used to read my blog said to me the other day that he's not going to read my blog anymore because I have too many ads on my blog and they slow down the download. True I have to agree with him on that so I might have to get rid of some of the non-productive ads but I will still continue to write paid posts since they are my main income from my blog. I have noticed a significant drop in my readers since coming over to the dark side but hey, fame doesn't pay the bills so a little ads and paid posts mixed in with my normal daily personal posts doesn't hurt anyone. Not like I'm trying to spam you or anything like that. Its just like watching TV with the commercials put it! You're still going to see my personal posts, they're always on the top of the page so don't give me the flick just because I need to make a few bucks. Don't run away ya!
