Even the roars of the waves are not loud enough to drown out your chatterings. From the way you speak your mandarin I'm not really sure if you're from Taiwan or China. Either way, you are embarrassing your girlfriends who have decided to walk quietly infront of you keeping a distance so as not to be associated with you.

Was emceeing at a grand function at posh hotel ballroom...but the people were talking SO loudly that they drowned out the VIPs giving speeches on stage! Had to scold them "politely". No it wasn't the coffee shop owners' or the wharf labourers' association annual dinner. They were...TEACHERS! Occupational hazard! Talking and shouting at kids all the time, dunno when to stop!!!

imo, talking loud is ok. as long as in the right place and time. though everyone has their own idea of when talking loud is ok. imo, those chinamen don't seem to be in a place where their loud talk would be inapropriate.
