I recall when Terese told me a few years back never to buy flowers on Valentine's Day because they were overpriced for that one day of the year. Being a good husband that I am (hehe) I always remember what she told me and not buy her flowers on Valentine's Day...
...instead I'll pick some roses from my backyard! These are roses that I've put my sweat, blood, time and tender loving care into them all year every years and I grow them especially for my Lou Poh Jai!
Last week Terese entered a competition in the local newspaper whereby the winners can win a dozen roses for Valentine's Day. Yesterday they rang her and told her that she won and this morning the courier came by with a box from Roses Only!
Opening the box she was absolutely delighted by what she saw...
...there was a box of Lindor chocolates, a sachet of potpourri, a bottle of rose oil, a carry bag and a cd of love songs by Mark Sholtez (don't know who that is).
And best of all 12 long stem red roses!
They look better than the roses I pick for her this morning! I jealous liao! :(
Happy Valentine's Day Lou Poh Jai!
(And thanks to Roses Only for the roses though I had nothing to do with it.)
