As usual there was a big turnout, everyone's here to check out the yachts and the friendly race and enjoying the fun day here at Dockland.
The winner of the race was ABN Amro I from the Netherlands. The Dutch sure know how to sail the open seas! Here they are mobbed by the press and spectators and being broadcast via the television networks.
This is ABN Amro I coming in to berth follows closely by a media dingey.
Follows by Pirates Of The Caribbean an American yacht which was the runner up. It is actually named after the Disney movie of the same name!
Third was Movistar a spanish yacht. After that the rest of the yachts came in, there was Ericsson from Sweden, Brasil I from Brazil, ABN Amro II from the Netherlands and Brunel from Australia.
In the evening there was a Jimmy Barnes rock concert. For those who don't know who Jimmy Barnes is, he's a famous australian musician who likes to scream his lungs out when he's singing!
After the concert there was fireworks! What a way to finish the day off..you can watch the fireworks display below, its only 5 minutes long. Go on, you'll love it!
