While You Are Sleeping...

I think by now we all know what's happened to Siao Cha Bor so I'm not even going into the details. I just hope everyone would say a little prayer for her and her family especially her little daughter. Here's my first pathetic attempt at writing a poem for her...

while you are sleeping...
the blogosphere grinds to a halt
the readers anticipate your next post
the bloggers eagerly wait for your cheeky comments

while you are sleeping...
your daughter cries for your embrace
your family stay by your sides
your friends pray for you

while you are sleeping...
people miss you
people cry for you
people are calling for you to wake up

C'mon Cha Bor, time to get up!

Knock and the door will open, seek and you will find, ask and you'll be given....;let's all pray and leave it all in the hands of God!

Lord, look upon her with eyes of mercy, may your healing hand rest upon her, may your lifegiving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength.

O God who are the only source of health and healing, the spirit of calm and the central peace of this universe, grant to her such a consciousness of your indwelling and surrounding presence that she may permit you to give her health and strength and peace. Amen.

Let us reflect on the Gospel of Mark especially the words from Chapter 5, verse 35 to 43 in the case of SCB and pray that as shown in the Gospel I post below, Jesus may come to her and say, Talitha Kum, which loosely translates to, Little Girl, Wake Up.

35 While he was still speaking, people from the synagogue official's house arrived and said, "Your daughter has died; why trouble the teacher any longer?"
36 Disregarding the message that was reported, Jesus said to the synagogue official, "Do not be afraid; just have faith."
37 He did not allow anyone to accompany him inside except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.
38 When they arrived at the house of the synagogue official, he caught sight of a commotion, people weeping and wailing loudly.
39 So he went in and said to them, "Why this commotion and weeping? The child is not dead but asleep."
40 And they ridiculed him. Then he put them all out. He took along the child's father and mother and those who were with him and entered the room where the child was.
41 He took the child by the hand and said to her, "Talitha kum," which means, "Little girl, I say to you, arise!"
42 The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around. (At that) they were utterly astounded.
43 He gave strict orders that no one should know this and said that she should be given something to eat

Dear Siao Cha Bor,
Thank you for your presence in our lives through your blog. We count your friendship among our greatest treasures. Knowing that you will help with whatever we need, it would be my joy today to help you out as well by praying for you.

"Dear God, As you protect Siao Cha Bor when she was awake, watch over her while she is sleeping. Please wake her up soon so that all of us will be mindful of your creation."

Wuching, my mate...I like your poem.
