Today is Queen's birthday in Australia so it's a public holiday. I'm not a monarchist so it doesn't really matter much to me but I don't mind having the day off though!
How silly it is for Australia to have a non-Australian to be the head of state of the country. Why can't we have someone local to be the head of state? We're not good enough meh?
So beside celebrating Queen Elizabeth's birthday, I might as well use this day to celebrate other Queens' birthdays as well even if it's not really. So happy birthday to Queen the band.
Happy Birthday also to Hijackqueen aka Jessie Ling of Klang. Eh, not so long ago it was her real birthday wor so very ngam lah.
Also Happy Birthday to Ice Queen coz her name also got Queen mah.
Also must wish King's Wife Happy Birthday also since a king's wife must also be the Queen too! Correct onot?

Wow. So many Queens.
What is it with Aussies and the Queen. Kick her the hell out man. Then celebrate kicking her out day instead. keke
Simple American - Not as easy as it looks. Need a 75% majority in a referendum to get rid of the Queen.
Only time we can have such a thing is when the Prime Minister decides to ahve one with an Election. Last referendum on keeping the Queen was fraught with a major problem. We were given the chance to have a republic, but only one where WE don't get to vote for the President!
So, given a choice of keeping the Queen or not having a vote, what do you think Aussies chose?
The Pro-Republic people said we were too stupid to vote, therefore we shouldn't complain.
I mean, insult the people you want to vote for a Republic.
Most Aussies [over 75%] want a Republic, BUT, only one where we get to vote for our President.
We have to HOPE that the next Prime Minister will allow a Referendum in the election AFTER the next one [because we're not having a Referendum in the next election, whcih is this year].
Hope that explains it. We're no stupid, our political system just supports the Statis Quo.
haha...you missed out the Queen of Hearts :P
A little early, but tengkiu nonetheless! :)
criz lai: i dunno her :(
king's wife: you're welcome
