Ok enough camwhoring, lets get back to normal blogging. Do you know that its only 1 week to the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne? Isn't that exciting? Its going to madness in Melbourne!
No one knows what the opening ceremony on the 15th would be like but this is a sneak preview of what to expect, fishes!
There's a row of different fishes representing the 72 countries that will be competing in the Games and they stretch from the Swan Street Bridge all the way down to the Prince Phillips Bridge.
Australia is represented by the Southern Shortfin Eel that inhabit the Yarra river. I've never tasted them before, I don't think anyone has since the water is so very dirty!
Brunei is represented by the Koran Angelfish that are found on Brunei's coastline. The stripes on the fish appears to be Arabic script hence the Koran Angelfish!
I'm sure all Malaysians would be happy for the Golden Arawana to represent Malaysia for its rarity and value by all Malaysian Chinese. We all know how ridiculously expensive they can be sold in Malaysia!
I didn't count how many fishes are there but there are 2 type of fishes on either sides of the floating barge so it may well have all 72 countries represented. There are I think huge lights on either sides of the fish so all I can imagine on opening night would be some kind of light show here on the river before the ceremony continues into the Melbourne Cricket Ground stadium for the Grand Opening! I can't wait!

LOL at Cocka's choice.
So you will be updating us live from Melbourne, ya?
cocka: good choice!
chen: lots of ppl would agree with u!
5xmom: i think u get better updates from ur tv but i'm do my best! :)
Wah! My innocent comment on the eel generated so many responses! U must thank me for pushing up ur ratings lah! Eel...keli...catfish...whatever u call it, I like it! Those "onagi" in Japanese restaurants!!! Yum! Yum! Arowana, 1 time the in thing! Must have for long life...but I know many owners then...now already dead! Their fish too!
STP: i think ppl follows u wherever u go, u must be very 'sui' one hor!
Flower Horn is bred in Malaysia. Ppl kept it for luck and according to some, the pattern on its side sometimes reveal a 4-D number.
You go hentam gau gau lar. lol
http://badmanstropicalfish.com/articles/article18.html
helen: oh yes, yes now i know! tq beli much! no it never took off here so there u go!
Yalah, Wuching! I don't call myself "sui" for nothing! They always say I'm sacarstic...yet they love me for it. Ajay can vouch 4 that! Flower Horn! Those black patches not numbers lah, Helen! Sales tactic & people obsessed with striking it rich fell for it!!! Fools and their money soon parted!
STP: u used to tuitor ajay issit? lucky he didn't learn ur sarcasm! kekeke
wai ha.. talking bout me ? It's Alex lar.. *hai*. STP's sarcasm? Got lar, learnt a bit. but it's only to be used when all other methods are proven futile :D
wuching, how come u like tat one, go to nice places din call me.. hai.. Unimelb's not having any holidays during Commonwealth games. Sad.. not even Labour Day.
alex: i know its alex, STP keeps calling u ajay so i just follow lor..who told u to name ur site ajay? i don't have holiday during commonwealth games either but u sms me lah when ur free!
Yalah! His blogsite "ajay". No, he didn't name it after that horrible green soap of the 50s "popinjay" brand...he named it after his idol!!!...Yucks!
