Com Tam Dac Biet & Bun Bo Hue

This post is about what food Terese and I had for lunch today. We went to our favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Richmond called Van Van and ordered our usual favourite dishes.
I had Com Tam Dac Biet (House Special Broken Rice pronounced "ke-om thum thap beap"), it has grilled pork, pate, fried egg, shredded pork, tomato and cucumber over steamed broken rice. When I came to Australia years ago I did not know how to appreciate this popular Vietnamese dish but I quickly learned to love it! Now I have it quite frequently because its cheap and fast, costs me A$7.00. Sounds a lot if you convert it to Malaysian Ringgit but its considered cheap here.

Terese had Bun Bo Hue (Hue Beef Noodle pronounced "boon boh hui"), it is beef noodle from the city of Hue in Vietnam. It has rice noodle with beef but there were pork, pig blood and pig trotter! It costs A$7.00 also and its quite nice too.
