Meet Holly

Today's post is about Holly the Cocker Spaniel. Holly is a girl and she is my boss' dog or rather bitch! (I like the sound of that; my boss' bitch!)

Holly is 10 years old and that's probably old in doggie years so excuse her if she doesn't look too excited, trust me she is happy to meet you! Say hi to Holly, she's a friendly dog and wouldn't mind a pat from anyone.

Holly comes to work with me almost everyday so she's part of the staff here. Her job is looking after the premise and bark when some unwelcome hawkers come knocking at the door!

Holly doesn't need much to keep her amused, most days she sleeps all day because of her age but she can't get enough of a tummy rub. She's just begging to have her tummy rubbed all the time!

Look at that sad looking doggie eyes! Isn't she adorable for her age? But then again if I didn't tell you her age you wouldn't know she's that old now would you? Holly still has a few good years left in her so woof woof to that!

Should I Or Shouldn't I?

During the loooong long Easter weekend I had plenty of time but nothing to do. So I just sat around like a bad smell and talked to the walls. But I did managed to get out in the backyard to do some digging. I love digging the ground, I could dig till the sun go down.

But hor, tiu lah my neighbour! See it's lidis, there's an area in my backyard where nothing ever grow so I decided to dig up the whole area to cultivate the soil and to enrich it with manure and compost later like I do with bad soil. KNN! the soil so hard like concrete! I had to use a pickax to break the ground before digging into it 1 inch at a time! And to make matter worse I found roots everywhere the size of my thumbs some of them! They are all from my neighbour's tree growing on the other side of the fence, spreading it's invasive roots over to my side of the garden and stealing the moisture and nutrient from my soil! Celaka! No wonder my plants dun do well here!

So I have to break the hard ground, dig out all these invasive roots a little bit at a time. At the rate I'm going I oso dunno when I'll finish with my project. I'll have to put those root barrier later to stop the roots from coming back over again but at the moment I think I can poison the tree if I want to from my side of the fence! So what do you think? Should I or shouldn't I? If I do, for sure the neighbour will know I did it and there'll be no more FRIENDLY NEIGHBOUR but WORLD WAR III!

Desperate Time Calls For Desperate Measure

Melbourne is now in Stage 3a water restriction meaning I can only water my garden twice a week for 2 hours at a time and from 6 am till 8 am in the morning. Celaka! I'm not getting up at 6 am to water my garden OK?! I need my beauty sleep so this kind of arrangement just don't do it for me. There has to be a better way, sure I could install the most expensive automatic watering system but why should I spend more money to save water. But my garden is suffering so desperate time calls for desperate measure. I know a better way to save water, save money and at the same time tone up my muscles! *wink wink*

Heck! This is what I've been doing, you know that water you shower everyday that just go down the drain into god knows where? Well, instead of wasting it down the drain I've collected them with buckets under the shower. This way I manage to save quite a bit of water from every shower I take. I take 2 showers a day, Terese does her share of collecting this grey water too and the amount of water we collect each day is enough to water my garden 2 times over! I kid you not, now I don't even have to use the main tap water for watering the garden. My water bill has dropped significantly since last year and all these carrying water in buckets from upstairs to the garden has tone up my muscles! Maybe I will get my six packs back, here's wishful thinking. Hahahaha...

But I do have one problem though and that is I have to tippy toe around in the shower making sure my feet are in each bucket and trying to keep my balance while showering! LOL, I'm looking for a big bucket so I can just stand inside it but I cannot find one anywhere. All the shops I've been to don't have the right size and shape but I did find the perfect one online. It's a special square shape bucket for dunno for what but it has the right size and will fit perfectly in the shower cubicle. The only problem is it cost $333.80 wor! I'm not paying that much money for a plastic box! So I'll keep on looking and in the meantime I just have to watch where I step on in the shower. If you have any suggestion do let me know ha!

Me So Money Face!

What lah?! All weekend and just 1 PPP post only? Is this what I can be looking forward to from PayPerPost? As you know oredi I'm having a grueling long long weekend with nothing much to do. Then yippie! My blog got approved by PPP so I thought I'll be busy all weekend writing paid posts. *Kaching*

How wrong was I? Chey! One miserable post is all I managed to grab! My first opps came on Saturday morning when there were 3 listed under my qualified opps but because I had to go out I left them and when I came back in the afternoon it was down to 2 and later in the evening it went down to 1 last opp! So I fast fast grab it quick before it disappear also!

Then after that nothing, haven't seen any opps pop out my way since. Niamah! Maybe I chose the wrong categories but it's too late now and I have to wait 30 days before I can change them again. Or maybe it's Easter and people ate too much chocolate eggs and now all sick so not working so no work for us bloggers also! Who knows but here I thought I had plenty of time to write plenty of pay posts but it's been quite a slow start to my PPP adventures! Yalah..I so love money liao! Why not? Bee kim wor! How not to love? Hehehehe..I so tempted by the dark side liao. Money face summore!

Shamisen

Happy Easter Sunday everybody. Hope you're having a great day today, go Easter eggs hunting and eat lots and lots of chocolate Easter Bunnies. For the Christians have a good day at the church and say hi to Jesus for me!

Some of you may not be celebrating Easter like me, here's a lenglui I put together for you! I can't remember her name but she plays one kick-ass shamisen. Shamisens are 3 string guitar like musical instruments from Japan played like a guitar but not quite sound like one.

I first saw her strumming her shamisen one year ago at last year's Japanese Festival and I'm glad to see her again at the Osaka Festival last month. With the help of her lenglui friend they played sweet haunting musics.

The final piece was played with the help of another shamisen player and the taiko drummer featured in my Wadaiko Rindo post last month. Great music! You have to listen to it to believe it so please do. Watch the video below;

P/S: I found out that they make the shamisen from dog & cat's skin! Ahhhhh!!!

Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center

Drug Rehabilitation seems to be the in thing nowadays popularized by celebrities like Britney Spears and Keith Urban. But with so many Rehab Centers available it’s no wonder choosing the right one is as difficult as the treatment!

Well let’s make it easy, there’s only one name you need to know and that’s Stone Hawk. Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center is located in south central Michigan, just an hour and a half from Detroit or Chicago.

Stone Hawk Drug Rehabilitation Program is of a non drug or medication treatment, instead focusing on a combination of a proper nutrition and supplements to help eliminate addictions. Their success rate is an astounding 76% meaning 3 out of 4 of their patients leave the center clean and stay clean!

So for effective drug rehabilitation that works, I'm recommending this Stone Hawk Rehabilitation Center to anyone who's looking for the right rehab drug and alcohol treatments.

Monkeys See, Monkeys Do!

OK, OK, so I lied. Said I'm not updating over this long weekend but look what I'm doing now, updating my blog! Well I was looking forward to this long weekend where I could forget about blogging for a while but then I get a reply from PayPerPost last night telling me my blog has been approved to write for them! Yes, I've sold my soul to the Devil for money! Just like everyone in the blogosphere who have decided to make a decent buck from blogging, I've also decided to do so. Monkeys see, monkeys do!

Oh well, at least it's a good way of filling in some days when I have nothing to post so they do make great filler posts. But then again PayPerPost has too many rules and regulations plus quotas that must be fullfilled or else you're dropped like a sack of potatoes so I hope I can keep up because I tend to be lazy in writing posts, especially posts that I don't even know what the heck it's supposed to be. Some more this is turning into more like a chore than blogging for fun.

Writing about products and places I've never used or been before takes some imagination so I guess I would feel a bit uneasy when I write my first pay post. But if everyone can do it, then why can't I? I so kiasu I don't want to be left behind so if I can't beat them, I'll join them! See how long I'm going to last, the money is better going to the main motivator or else I'll be back writing crappy posts on what I did last weekend again!

Have A Great Easter Holiday Break!

Tomorrow is Good Friday and the start of the Easter long weekend. Here in Australia we have Easter Monday off as well which means everyone gets a 4 day long weekend. Yayness! But for me I'm taking Tuesday off as well so it's a 5 day long weekend for me. Double yayness!

But then again I don't have any plan for these upcoming 5 days. It's too late to plan a holiday now coz everywhere is booked or cost a bomb if available so I guess I'll just have to stay home and rot for 5 days! Nothing interesting happening in town either so I guess I'll be sleeping in every morning, not shave or brush my teeth, no bath or shower, eat can foods and order pizzas. Watch DVDs and surf for porns. Gosh! By the 5th day I'll start to stink!

I'll probably be too lazy to do anything so will probably not update my blog unless you want to know what I eat this day or the next, whether I changed my underwear today or not! I'll see how I feel and update depending on my mood for that day so don't miss me too much ya.

So you have a great Easter break as well. To all the Christians have a wonderful Easter, eat plenty of chocolate Easter eggs till you spill and say hi to your mom and dad for me!

Epilogue

This is an epilogue to The Passion of the Christ according to Wuching posts. I was actually debating with myself on whether to write this post and now I've finally decided to write it.

The Passion play was held at Ruffey Lake Park in Doncaster and will be played again on Good Friday at 10 am should anyone in Melbourne is interested to watch. You can find out more from their website here. It is free but they do require that you do not take any photos or videos of the event which I just cannot understand. They have good intention of doing this free play for all to see but prefer not to let people take photographic memories of it which I think is a bit odd.

I like the Passion play, I think it's a great thing what the organisers did for families and Easter but there is one thing that I found quite troubling. At the play they had a man dressed up like a Jewish rabbi in the usual black rabbi outfit and hat. He even had a fake beard, mustache and the familiar curly hairs down the sides of his face typical of a Jewish rabbi.

The thing is this rabbi look-a-like had no part in the Passion play at all. He was just supposed to be some greedy money lender walking the ground and talking to people about why so many people had come that day to follow Jesus and how this affected his business for the day.

At one point when Jesus was arrested he even said to the audience that Jesus deserved what happened to him, well not the exact words but along those lines. Now I do know that ever since Jesus died 2000 years ago a lot of Christians blame the Jews for Jesus' demise and thus the Jews have been the scapegoats of everything that's gone wrong in the world.

I'm not a Christian nor am I into Judaism but from what I saw that day at the Passion play seems like a cheap shot at the Jewish people. Maybe it was meant as a joke but I wasn't laughing and I'm sure many of the audience there didn't find it funny either. In fact it could send a wrong message to the young people that the Jews are greedy, money grabbers and are indeed to be blamed for the death of Jesus and that it is OK to portray them as such on a family outing like that day.

So what do you think? Am I over-reacting to this harmless joke or do you agree with me that what they've done with the Jewish rabbi look-a-like money lender is indeed a stupid act that should never have happened. Just my 2 cent worth.

The Passion Of The Christ According To Wuching Part II

This post is the second part to the first part of the story I posted yesterday. If you haven't read the first part please do so before reading this part or else you blurr blurr dunno what I'm talking about.

But if you have read the first part and you are not offended by it like what I can tell from the good comments you left, then read on coz I so happy to know everyone has a good sense of humour!

So the story continues here in the garden where Jesus and his disciples were camping out. I also dunno why they dunwan to sleep in the house maybe it was a warm night. Anyway Jesus knew the time had come and sure enough the Pharisees came to arrest him there, waking the disciples up who tried to fought them back but Jesus stopped them coz He knew it was hopeless. Que sera sera. What will be will be lah.

So dark dark at night they brought Jesus to be judged by the Temple priests who accused him of being a false prophet lah and also poisoning people's minds lor. Of course you know and I know it's just a trump up charge they use to get Jesus anyway they can lah. We also know that He was found guilty and was sent to Governor Pilate who was the only person who can pass the death sentence.

But then hor, Pilate tulan ledi got waken up in the middle of the night to pass sentence on some guy he didn't even know. So he sent Jesus off to Herod so he could get back to his wife halfway through their nightly sexercise.

But then also hor, Herod was having a party at his house and he also tulan for getting interrupted by this but what the heck he decided to have some fun with this prisoner lah.

He asked Jesus to perform magic tricks for him since people say He's the King of the Jews and can perform miracles and do tricks but Jesus refused until Herod got bored with Him and decided to send Him back to Pilate coz he didn't know what to do with Him also! And so Jesus got sent back to Pilate like a ping pong ball lor.

This time Pilate got really sien now coz Herod sent Jesus back to him. What is he gonna do? He couldn't find anything wrong with Jesus but at the same time kept getting pressure from the priests to sentence Him to death.

So to please the priests Pilate sentenced Jesus to be flogged and then later released. And you know lah those Roman soldiers if they have someone to torture they sure torture kau kau wan! First they made a thorny crown for Jesus to wear since He calls Himself King of the Jews...

Then they stripped Him and whipped Him kau kau. Damn painful wor lidat, blood was spilling everywhere, Jesus crying out in pain but the lansy guards damn sadistic wan get more excited and whipped summore till Jesus half die ledi!

After the guards had their fun they brought Jesus back to Pilate for more instruction. Pilate after seeing Jesus half dead lidat said; "Wahlau eh! I said flog him, didn't said kill him half dead lidat mah! Aduh...I dunwan to be blamed for this lah." At that time Pilate thought Jesus suffered enough liao lah and wanted to let Him go but the Pharisees wanted Jesus dead! So what to do? Pilate had to give the dead sentence but washed his hands off the matter hoping he will not be blamed for His dead lah.

So there you have it, the priests damnhappy now coz they got their wish. Jesus was to be crucified on the cross till He die. You see in those days the condemned person had to carry his own crucifix wan so Jesus half dead ledi still had to carry the heavy crucifix up the hill...

...where He was crucified on the cross, hands and legs nailed to it. All this in front of everyone to see. The Pharisees damn happy that day wor, they finally accomplished their mission liao. They saved the world from a false prophet that day they said to themselves.

But then hor...after 3 days hor...Jesus rose from the dead! All His disciples and followers so happy to see Him alive again. He is truly the One who will bring balance to the Force...oops, sorry wrong story again, He's the Messiah Who's been sent to save the world! See...look at the photo even got halo summore! Now you believe onot?!

So from that day on till today we celebrate Easter but I still dunno where the Easter Bunny and the chocolate easter eggs come in though...I must've missed a chapter somewhere.

The End.

The Passion Of The Christ According To Wuching Part I

It's nearly Easter and since many people are in the festive mood I thought I'd post some holy moly post also lah. You have to forgive me if the photos look a bit blurr blurr because at this event the organisers don't allow people take pictures or videos you know so all the photos you see here are all spy shots wan! Had to steal steal take them when people not looking at me wor! So kamcheong can die lidat!

I don't read the Bible very often wan so I tend to get the stories mixed up here and there so if you see I wrote wrong thing be sure to point out and correct me also lah, kam sia kam sia.

Anyway the story goes lidis...a long time ago in a galaxy far far away...sorry that one wrong story! Let's start again hor, long ago in the land of Palestine where the Romans rule the lands there lived a wild man called John the Baptist. Many people came to get baptised by him and some even said he was the Messiah as was told in the prophecy. Like Star Wars lidat story also got prophesy of the Chosen One leh, that's why I got mixed up ledi!

So John the Baptist very humble wan and he said hor; I'm not the Messiah, I can only baptise you with water but the Messiah can baptise you with the Holy Spirit wor! Then ngam ngam the Man they call the Messiah came to ask John to baptise him pulak! So OK lah said John coz not often get to baptise the Messiah wor. Plus he femes now after baptising Jesus so his business lagi bagus!

So later after the Messiah whose name by the way is Jesus was led into the wilderness where he was tempted by Satan the Devil himself! The Devil said to Jesus; "I will give you your kingdom on earth if you will bow down and worship me!" in which Jesus said "Chey! My Daddy in Heaven owns the world oredi so what for I need you to gimme leh? My Daddy sure gimme wan! And besides, my kingdom is in Heaven with Him!"

So Jesus passed his test with the Devil and he was told by his Daddy in Heaven to take on 12 disciples who will eat, sleep, pangsai and go everywhere with him to spread His teachings to all the people. Bit like training padawans to become Jedi lidat lah! So he found his 12 disciples; John lah, James lah, Peter lah, Paul lah, etc...sounds a bit like The Beatles!

So slowly slowly Jesus and His disciples became very femes ledi, a bit like rock stars lidat and many people start to follow Him like groupies and this made the priests of the Temple very jeles wor!

Jesus very controversial wan coz He taught people things that's different with the old teachings of the Temple and yet more and more people followed him. And he also performed lots of miracles but the Temple Priests saw that as magic tricks to fool people only.

One day hor, Jesus performed his greatest miracle and that was to raise the dead! This guy Lazarus got sick and conked out ledi and got buried in the tomb and started to stink oredi but Jesus came and brought him back to life wor! So you say, lihai or not? He is indeed the Son of God like Darth Plagieus who could stop people from dying! Woohoo!

And this was the last straw for the Temple priests, they could not stand it anymore and they had to do something to fix this Jesus up so they came up with a plan to get rid of Him permanently! *Jeng Jeng Jeng*

One fine Sunday Jesus came to Jerusalem and he had a big welcoming party wor. People were carrying palm leaves and singing and dancing as they welcomed him into the city like movie stars walking down the red carpet at the Academy Awards lidat.

But when He got to the Temple he saw greedy money lenders ripping people off, traders making exuberant profits and people worrying about money only so He got angry ledi and trashed the place up but He also managed to convince everyone to listen to His teachings outside the Temple and this angered the priests even more. But now the priests had a plan and things are oredi in motion to set Him up!

So one night Jesus and His disciples sat down for supper and He announced that this would be He's last supper with them coz one of them's gonna betray him! *Deng Deng Deng* Eh...why I cannot see Mary Magdalene sitting next to Jesus like in DaVinci Code movie wan?

And sure enough Judas went to see the High Priest and to give the secret location of Jesus to him for a few silver coins! But why ah? Judas needed money coz following Jesus don't get paid wor! So he decided to sell him to the Pharisees lah!

Tune in tomorrow to find out what will happen to Jesus. Will He be arrested? Will He escape the Pharisees? And will Judas finally get to kiu kai with the money he just made from selling he's teacher?

To be continued...

p/s: Some people may find my post offensive so I go hide from diss missiles heading my way!
