Lectra System

Terese and I work for a company that provides services for the rag trade; we do grading and make markers for clothing manufacturers using Lectra System from France.
On a typical day, the clients would provide us with their samples and patterns on cardboard.
The patterns are then digitised into the system using the digitising table and Modaris, one of the programs from Lectra.
The patterns are then graded into respective sizes in Modaris and it's ready for plotting.
Using Diamino, another program from Lectra we can lay out the patterns virtually on the computer screen before sending it to...
...the E33 plotter for cardboard printing if the client wants it back in cardboard kinds.
Or if the client prefers production marker, it is plotted on the Flypen.
The patterns from the E33 are then cut out manually by hand(we need a laser cutter).
And the production marker is rolled off the Flypen and is ready for the client!
All in a day's work, the boss is still hard at work in front of the computer...
...improving on his poker game on the internet!

Hi,

We, at Hogent, a Belgian university College in Ghent (http://english.hogent.be/), have an unused E33 Lectra plotter. Which is still working on an old DOS based PC. But we would like it to work on an XP based PC, like you are doing already. The problem is that we don't know what kind of driver is needed for this. How did you solve this problem? What kind of program/driver did you install?

kind regards

Hans

Hi Hans

Though we're running it off win xp it is the lectra programs that run the e33, windows doesn't have the driver for it & cannot run it. The lectra prgrams have total control over it even though the lectra programs run in windows environment.

Hi boyz21k

you cannot run the flyoen directly from windows but you can from the lectra programs
