The Sentinel @ Jam Factory

Remember we won ticket to see The Sentinel 2 weeks ago? Well today's the day we went to see it at Village Jam Factory in South Yarra. It was good coming back to South Yarra, been a while since we were here last.

This is Chapel Street in South Yarra, its a tourist precinct and a very 'hip' area with young hoons with their 'doff doff' cars cruising down here everyday especially the weekends. Its got all kind of people, the best and the worst and I used to live here for a few years!

And this is Village Jam Factory where we will be watching our movie tonight. The reason its called Jam Factory is because a long time ago this building was really a jam factory! You can still see the original wall of the building even with years of transformation. I'm glad they kept the name alive for its heritage.

As we walk along the entrance to the Jam Factory we can see that the original sky-lights above are still preserved. Apart from the Village cinema complex, it has a variety of shops as well like Borders and Sanity.

Here we have the main lobby area of the cinema complex with its round colourful glass roof. When it was built years ago it won the title of the most beautiful cinema in the world and after all these years it still looks pretty good eh?

The complex has over 10 cinemas and part of them are located above these grand staircase. The rest of the cinemas are on the opposite side of this staircase. So there's virtually 2 parts to the complex.

So we came here for the free movie The Sentinel starring Michael Douglas, Kiefer Sutherland, Eva Longoria and Kim Basinger and it was fantastic! It got me thrilled and on the edge throughout the whole movie. Eva Longoria was hawt even in suit! So go see it and you won't regret it.

Hey Jam Factory is indeed very beautiful. Big and spacious too.

What is the price for a cinema ticket in Melb ?

That's what we call proper remodelling and protecting and preserving old structures.....instead of demolishing it and building some ugly montrosity
